OK, maybe I am just cranky from the lack of update notes (they jerked us around with a Monday update, but no Wednesday update), but how do you introduce a line-up of products, but only have one product to show? In Math they don't call that a line, they call that a point- you need two to make a line damn it.

It would be nice if they were based on in-game items unless the in-game item that you get with the Tidal Talisman is actually going to be a Tidal Talisman too... name like that it's bound to be something silly though like Enchantment: Barwater.

Meh, I'm not one to rag on SE normally but I'm severely underwhelmed by this.
I've been to fan fest, bought a nation ring, bought the piano collection...heck, i'll buy just about any FFXI branded doohicky but I fail to see how this relates.

Regardless of how nice the tidal talisman is or isn't, along with the name tag, I can't help but feel like they're cheap methods of cashing in on the player bases desire to own in-game items. They don't (seem) to actually relate to FFXI at all (is there a tidal talisman in game? if there is i've never seen it nor is it apparently important enough to want for any of my jobs).

Yet, because of the promise of an in-game item I still have a grudging desire to pick one up. /sigh.

Just watch it cost $100+ due to them being custom made or something.

My guess is that they are going to make new in-game items with the same names.

There is currently no item called "Tidal Talisman" in the game files, there is an item called "Silver Name Tag", but it is a common drop from Quadavs in Palborough Mines for a low-level quest, so I would hope that isn't the in-game reward. lol
