Are you supposed to lose EXP in Maat fights? (or the equivilent ones for new jobs?)

I'm curious, because I foolishly trusted Otherwiki and find myself missing 9k EXP after several attempts at the thoroughly retarded Scholar G5 fight. I've homepointed from Maat attempts gone awry before and never lost EXP from it.

As far as I know, you're only exempt from EXP loss when you haven't yet completed *a* G5. Once your level cap is 75, you lose EXP normally from the fights.

I can't verify the first part, but I know that I've lost EXP from dying to Maat when I've gotten an extra testimony and went to screw around in a fight with him.

no, you cant tho. you have to take note of it by yourself. i tested it with my war, which i cleared lb5 earlier. when i went back as war to verify, it just said the same thing again to me.

that's how i beat him years ago. can throw in an additional iwing if you feel like it.
