She's a lifetime NRA member. I actually like some of her views as well, if I lived in Alaska I probably would've voted for her. It's a little harder to control spending and corruption on a national level though, so I guess we'll see how that turns out if McCain wins.

Edit: It certainly would be interesting if McCain croaks in office and she ended up in the big chair.

This VP pick is a serious wtf. She is mired in a corruption scandal, brings absolutely nothing to the table in terms of fundraising like Romney would, and is from a state that will do nothing to help win any swing states, which McCain will have to nearly sweep to win the election.

This is purely pandering to the disgruntled Hillary voters, who frankly weren't going to vote for Obama anyway. McCain has shown repeatedly that his judgement is even worse than Dubyas, how anyone can even consider voting for him is beyond me at this point.

Hilariously enough, the only time we hear anything out of him is when he's doing precisely that, or when he shoots someone hunting. He's not really one for building a positive image.

Palin is very GOP party-line and makes McCain look like a buffoon for trying to hammer Obama on experience and qualification. It's a very transparent pick aimed at PUMAs, but for real voters concerned about women's issues there's still no content: palin, like mccain, is pro-life, and mccain still doesn't support equal pay for equal work. This might've been a good gamble for McCain if Hillary didn't show such strong support at the DNC; also realize that Palin wouldn't have even been an option if Hillary was running with Obama.
