    FFXI crashing

FFXI has been running fine for a while now. This morning I woke up and my computer had restarted for some reason, guessing windows update. However there was an error message that said "Error loading c:\Windows\system32\nnnmmmKa.dll." I did a search for said file and nothing came up. Ran a system scan with Kaspersky and nothing showed up. Playonline starts fine, but when it tries to load FFXI it crashes. Anyone have any clues on this?

    Running vista64bit Pro
    Radeon 9700GT
    Intel Core2 duo
    4GB ram

The file is obviously bogus, despite Google not helping you in determining exactly what it's connected to. It could've been a randomly generated name. I would suggest trying some other scanners, such as online ones like this:

Or other respectable offline ones, like Avast! Anti-Virus:

Another program you should try is Malware Bytes, which is excellent:

If those find nothing, there is a chance that whatever created this file has either already been eliminated and/or has made another randomly-named DLL to replace it. Whatever the situation may be, the file(s) may just be gone altogether and you only need to remove the entry in your startup that's trying to run the bogus file. You definitely wanna scan, first.

Otherwise, use HijackThis to determine if there are any bad things happening on startup that you wanna get rid of:
