Cerberus Mantle +1 vs Cuchulain's Mantle

Here we go again! Now that Cuchulain's Mantle is available!

Basically we have Attack 15 Enmity 4 vs Dex 4 Acc 5
What's better DD assuming DEX, Acc & Attack are uncapped?

It's too close for me to say! Situational?

    Also, Cerb.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd use Cuchulain's on NIN and THF, cerb+1 on 2h jobs.

Thief and Ninja really don't get much Attack :/ granted they don't get much Accuracy either but you can put that in places where you don't take a 15attack deficit.

I would rather the 5 accuracy in a lot of situations. Normally though, I'd use Cerb +1.

In most weak situations(salvage, dynamis, limbus, exp, etc), I would rather have my accuracy up to par so I don't have to force hunter's or madrigal on the 2handers in my party >_>

Then eat sushi. Cuchulain's isn't going to do it.

Sushi is overkill on Colibri if you have decent-good equiped non-2h melee

That's a rather naive blanket statement. My conventional NIN merit build has almost literally no room for improvement in the TP gear, and I still require Madrigal to break 80% accuracy despite full katana merits. I'm working on an additional build which absolutely requires sushi.

You're likely using Ninja Chainmail +1? You would probably be up there if you were using Haubergeon/+1 (just an assumption, most NINs choose NC+1).

it's shaky because 1handers need attack to keep their numbers up, especially thf and nin.

As for the accuracy well, one of the SAMs I play with has appx 392 accuracy for merits, my thf (pretty well, but not top tier equiped) has 364 accuracy, this is me using 3 pieces of homam, other fairly good gear. It's pretty hard to bridge that gap, short of scraping several haste pieces (namely: dropping walahra turban for O-hat, dusk gloves for Enkidu mittens, and Swift belt for Life belt) which would only put me at 388, still lower then his accuracy, at the loss of 12haste(so only 6% haste on), and he still wears 15~haste

I'd stick with an attack back over cuchulain's for any of my one handers at this point.

most nin's use sushi to compensate for not using a haubergeon and having acc in the feet slot like most other melee (war, drk, drg etc 10/12 acc body, 3-6~ acc feet, it makes a difference)
