New DS called "Nintendo DSi"

EDIT: Apparently someone on /v/ predicted this a few days ago... went into detail about it's features. Apparently it will have more on board memory, but but no GBA slot. And most importantly two cameras. Could be fake though.

EDIT: It looks like everything that guy from /v/ posted a few days ago is true. It is smaller. (I heard then number 12% so)

EDIT: More important details: SD slot. Internet Browser. Buy stuff from "Nintendo DSi Shop" using browser. free/200/500/800 nintendo points cost. Also free points for Japanese people who buy it early.

EDIT: November 1st Japan release. 2009 release for everyone else.


EDIT: Btw, Wii Points are turning into Nintendo Points to be shared with both DSi and Wii. DS Station changing into Nintendo Station.

I am not going to report every little detail about this thing, hopefully they move on to something new soon.

They talked about a new Tales game, which is obviously Knights of Ratatosk/Dawn of the New World or w/e that has already been out in Japan for a while now...

Of course, there could be a new Tales and VP game on the Wii and DS but...

Weird, for some reason I thought there was already a VP game out on the DS. Must be thinking of something else. I've only recently tried the Tales series but I loved it, I'll take any new action RPG's I can get.

I'd imagine they'll have some sort of way to play GBA games, probably through the SD cards or something. I'm not sure if this a demo setup or something, but this image shows some sort of new UI, and it looks like have a Rhythm Tengoku Gold cart in, and a couple of other games on an SD card or something. Seems like everyone is ignoring the single best update to the DSi, the SD memory card slot. They seem to be implying that you'll be able to download actual games to your DS and store them there now. Seems like a huge improvement.

About damn time on the Wii SD Storage too, Wii finally has a ghetto solution to no hard drive.

Maybe the Wii and the DS will actually start having playable demos for games before long now too. And real downloadable content.
