A Plano Senior High School student was fatally stabbed in an altercation outside a comic book store early Sunday, police said.

Police said that someone called 911 about 3:45 a.m. after the suspect stabbed Max L. Brustein, 17, in the parking lot of the 3100 block of Independence Parkway in Plano.

Police say the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Joshua Torres of Richardson, drove Mr. Brustein to Medical Center of Plano for treatment, where Mr. Brustein died about two hours later.

Police charged Mr. Torres with murder.

this happened this morning (3am). kid named max brustein was toilet papering his ex-girlfriends house as a joke and her current boyfriend saw him and thought he was doing out of spite. the current boyfriend chased the guy down and stabbed him to death.

on a side note, this is the fourth person to die at plano senior in the past two years. when i was attending, one kid died because of racing and hit a light pole. another died because he had a lung problem (which was sad. he was the best kid ever), and another person died while on a family vacation at a lake. he was sight seeing with his dad next to a cliff, accidently slipped and died on impact. his father tried to catch him and the same thing happened to him. that last one happened to be my friend. weep.

The kid who got shot was by an older guy from Minneapolis, though, so it's wasn't a high-school only incident. I'd hate to fear that i'm gonna get stabbed in school, or by someone FROM school. high school is harsh.
