I'm looking for a quest tracker addon like QuestFu. All the ones I find are together with stuff I don't need.
Here's one for the second addon that you mentioned, its a little more indepth and the functionality might not be perfect:

I love bartender 4 as a UI mod. Lets me move everything around and make my own action bars the size I want.
Have they fixed auctioneer advanced yet? I miss informant and enchantrix. I'd download the new version and try, but the last patch screwed up my game so I'm having to reinstall.
Yeah, the Auctioneer Suite and Gatherer are both live for 3.x

Does TinyTip have a replacement yet? I don't think the author is going to keep it updated.
Questhelper?
There used to be a sick cartographer questhelper addon, that doesn't work anymore.
Open up your Quest log, and it displays it differently first off, shows you who gave you the quest on your map, where to turn it in on your map, the other quests in the chain if there is one, and where exactly the mobs are on the map.
I hate the default quest log lol.
I downloaded it about two days after the last patch, (and completely removed the old auctioneer) but informant/enchantthing wasn't working for me. Could have just been my PC screwing up though, since a week later I was crashing all the time, and now I can't even get the game to install right.
Looking at the date on the current version, they've updated it even since 3.0.2, and Informant works fine for me. I don't know about Enchantrix, I haven't bothered to logon to my Enchanting alt to find out.
Questfu still works perfectly fine for me, why do you need to find something different?
X-perl
Cartographer
!BugGrabber
SpamSentry
Bagnon
Pallypower
Bartender
Quartz
Grid
Recount
Omni-CC
Omen
DBM
Fubar (plus it's various plugins)
is pretty much the full range of addons I use.
I use...
Paranoia
DBM
Smartbuff
Smartdebuff
Cartographer
Auctioneer
recount
OmniCC
Prat
Ora2
Spamsentry
Omen
Itemrack
Rating Buster
Wowequip (when its working for 3.0)
Power Aura
Titan Panel
Chat Scroll
Slightly modified version of Hal's UI vTums off WoWinterface.
Notes:
- Fubar up top (autohides), which doesn't have much important other than config buttons
- recount lower right, hidden unless i need it
- omen is usually hidden 'cuz i'm a healer.
- actionbar is usually hidden, was changing something.
- forte cooldown bar isn't shown because nothing's on cooldown. it's awesome though.
UI:

Addons: (note, I don't load all the modules, they just come with addons. I only use Forte_Core and Forte_Cooldown, for example)

I just roll with DBM and Omen generally, maybe QuestHelper if I'm leveling a new character or doing something specific that I've not farmed/done or whatever, just never really felt I wanted to change much o.O
Also, on a weird side note, does anyone else that played FFXI use the CTRL+#/ALT+# for keybindings on top of the 1-9 ones? I just found that it was easier since I never actually had to transition from buttons to buttons, and my voke is still ctrl+4 on my warrior >.>;;
I mostly use ctrl/shift+# bindings for stuff like stance-dancing and mounting. Everything else is single-stroke. reaching for ctrl/shift is a little slow for things I have to spam all the time.
Is there any way to move the standard mouseover tooltip that appears in the lower right? The way I've rearranged my bars and frames (Bartender4 and xperl), there's a dead space to the lower left that would be perfect, and would let me keep the lower right open for Recount or Omen.
cowtip, tinytip, search 'tip' on addon sites.
For unimportant stuff, yeah. Important stuff always goes on 1-9 (or `1234567890-= in my case, I rebound that entire key row and set up 13 button rows) and non-time-critical stuff goes on the ctrl/alt/shift bars right above it. Shift was the easiest to hit, so that had the next most critical stuff after plain. Ctrl was the one I had set to swap in for stealth, so I had access to those actions on single-hit in stealth, or ctrl+button unstealthed. Alt was various misc stuff that wasn't critical, but still was important enough to deserve a hotkey.
In terms of addons, it's been a while, but it looks like most of the ones I used are still around. X-Perl, Bartender, FuBar with a ton of plugins, Cartographer, Auctioneer, Gatherer, OmniCC, Prat, Bagnon, Atlas and AtlasLoot, Clique and the quests mod by the same author, some ACE mod that had a ton of little tweaks, and a bunch of others that I'm probably forgetting.
What I'm looking for is a tooltip mod so I can have all the tool tips locked to my cursor instead of in the bottom left corner of the damned screen.
Right now I'm using:
Bartender 4
Pitbull
Prat
SCT
Quartz
simpleMiniMap
Auctioneer Suite
Advanced Tradeskill Window
I think that's about it, although I want the advanced quest log back =/.
