    UFC 91 Couture vs Lesnar

    Main card
Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
Lightweight bout: Kenny Florian vs. Joe Stevenson
Heavyweight bout: Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Josh Hendricks
Middleweight bout: Demian Maia vs. Nate Quarry
Welterweight bout: Dustin Hazelett vs. Tamdan McCrory

    Preliminary card
Lightweight bout: Jorge Gurgel vs. Aaron Riley
Lightweight bout: Jeremy Stephens vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Alvin Robinson
Welterweight bout: Matt Brown vs. Ryan Thomas

Overall the card lacks a solid 2nd, or 3rd fight depending on how you view the kenny vs joe fight. Apart from the main event I am excited to see Maia and Hazelett again, they could be future contenders. Picking Brock because I think it will be hard to beat him unless you can submit him and I don't see couture doing that and it may be tough for Couture to take it to the 4th or 5th round to take advantage of possible conditioning problems with Lesnar.

Ehhhhhhhhhhh hard to gauge the main card imo. Couture can play with him for points and Brock and turn Couture's safe strategy into a dangerous situation at any moment... If it goes more then 3 rounds, Couture will win

Same, I want to say Brock but Couture has definitely surprised me before in the past. If he does indeed gets past Brock's inevitable opening barrage the fight might prove to be interesting.

I'm not so sure anymore about Gurgel, I didn't really know who Aaron Riley was when I picked the fight but he is pretty experienced and most of his losses come from very solid fighters like Lawler/Alvarez. If Gurgel is the same old fighter he will likely lose.

He had to pull out due to a leg infection, his fight was scrapped entirely.

As much as I don't like Lesnar, I'm not surprised to see him win. I thought it would go to a decision though. Didn't think Couture would end up getting the TKO. Now we'll see how he does against someone who hasn't been off for over a year. I'm hoping Nogs beats Mir just because I would like to see him and Lesnar square off.

I freakin' cannot stand Lesnar. However, I have to concede at this point that I guess his stupid ass belongs in MMA. He's beat enough guys now to earn a home in the UFC at least. All this really does though is underscore how pathetic the HW division is for the UFC, when some retard from WWE with nothing but some wrestling under his belt can get past guys with tons more experience.

i'm not a fan...but he impressed me saturday. his knees, descent boxing, and of course great wrestling. they kept talking about how randy has fought big guys before...nobody has fought anyone like brock before. he's 280 lbs...runs a 4.7 40. i cannot tell you how insane that is. he's the fastest heavyweight over 220 lbs ever. nobody is going to be able to control him or dominate him. mir got lucky in their fight 'cause he was done with and brock was just too new to know not to hit him in the back of the head. lol.

the only thing you can really do with him is hope he makes a mistake and allows a sub on a leg or arm. not like you could choke him without a neck and all. i really hope nogeira wins and we get to see a man who can take what brock can dish out like he did with fedor and keep cool under all of it looking for a sub.

Yeah I just watched the video a little bit ago. He didn't do bad at all, really. He's a fast learner, and didn't make any newbie mistakes. I'm sad at Couture's performance though. He had a lot of old school tricks that he could have leveraged, but didn't. Leg kicks, foot stomps, elbows while in guard, more knees to Brock's legs, etc.

Nog is getting up there in age. We might actually see Dick Chest win that one, too. Herring sent Nog to the floor, and Brock's striking is in order of magnitudes more devastating than Herring's. We'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
