The VanaFes is this coming Saturday. My friend and I both entered, friend got lucky and got us tickets ^^

There are some for sale on YahooAuc if anyone is interested.

Last year attendants got caps and stickers with their server names on it (my friend got me one). I wonder if we get anything his time. And IIRC, it was possible to watch the entire show by streaming last year, maybe they'll do the same for those who missed the chance to go.

nifty! Although, they already annouced they won't do live streaming this year in the creator's voice blog or something.

For VanaFest, I will be going with Corinth, and we will try to get information back as best we can. We have decided on making some small posts on JPButton with a iPhone Wordpress App during the show. For example, after a Talk Section or an event, I'll put up a little summary and some pics.

Afterwards, we'll head back to the hotel, and from there we will run a CoverItLive chat session. We are thinking of having the open chat while we make a larger recap for the site, and people can hang out and ask questions about the show.

CoverItLive only works with IE and Firefox, and I looked at many options for live blogging from the show itself, but nothing was really feasible. Wordpress from my cell is probably the fastest way to get out information, since I have no idea if a laptop would get Internet access.

As for the aftershow thing, would people be interested in that? It would open up Saturday morning EST, probably around 8-9 am? If people would be up for attending that, we'll definitely get it running.

Yes, as part of the coverage we're planning to record in the hotel as we host the live chat. People who miss the chat, or just want a little behind-the-scenes listen can look forward to that. We're gonna try and connect with fusionx and make a show, and you'll be able to get it through Pet Food Alpha.

When do we start chargin our F5s?

VanaFest is 4:30 - 9:00, so that's 2:30am Fri - 7:00am Sat EST
4:30 - 6:00 JST is when the door are open, but the show hasn't started. Hopefully, this is time where we can talk to some other players and ask some questions people submitted to the site.

At 4am Sat EST, the show opens. At 7am EST it ends.

So, either 8am or 9am we can do chat back at the hotel.

Thanks to my super-thorough preparation skills, I have just now discovered I can, in fact, Live Blog using my iPhone during the event.

The blog has already been opened on the front page of JPButton.com, and will be in standby until tomorrow morning (Fri. night EST).

From then on, I will document the day's events as they unfold.
