So no one has anything to say about this person? Again, they were formerly Neptune on Valefor in the linkshell Deathbringers. Well-geared and well-merited (530+) BLM/WHM/RDM/SMN/BRD/THF. Apparently they took about a year off from the game starting at the end of November 2007. Notable Gear: 5/5 zenith(dalmatica) 5/5 yigit 5/5 crimson(HQ legs) duelists chapeau, duelists tabard, 3/3 sea capes, morrigan's feet, various af+1's for BLM and RDM.

Never seen this person in the 3-4 years that I was on Valefor. Which pretty much means they never did anything end game wise. Never even heard of the linkshell Deathbringers, either.

I'm going to guess that this person is either a bought account or from another server. I'd probably remember someone like that.

We pretty much established that as well. After some interview-type questions it was pretty easy to establish any history they provided was falsified and that they bought the account. Funny example: Claimed first RDM AF2 they got was Duelist's Chapeau, but doesn't have Assassin's Armlets because they "missed the month their old LS did Xarcabard".

In conclusion, lolSash. Heads up to anyone else on Carbuncle that gets an app from this person.

to Xanthe: What's wrong with that? how can you deduce somebody bought their account based off of "interview-type" questions? I know plenty of people who have gotten chapeau's as their first RDM AF2. For argument's sake, do you have any proof that they bought the account? I can understand if they suck and don't know how to play the job, but you can't always assume that if there isn't information they are a bad player.
