How much RAM is in your main PC?

Intentionally not asking this in Tech, I'm interested in finding out how many people still have less than 1GB of RAM so we can decide on a minimum spec for the game my friends and I are working on. We're debating between 512mb and 1GB as the minimum.

Couldn't you have asked last April, then I'd have proudly told you that my PC is valiantly running XP and FFXI (and everything else one needs during playing, like browser and word processing) with 256 MB.

Alas, my new machine is puttering along with 2 GB.

Vista is a fucking pig, I wouldn't build a system with anything less than 2GB these days.

Since many people are running at least Windows XP at this point, and that eats up a respectable portion of memory in itself, I would suggest making it 1GB minimum. Better to set the bar a little bit higher than necessary as opposed to too low and have the program start chugging along because the computer can't keep up.

I have 3GB also, by the way.
