This is Joel (named after Joel Hodgeson). He's a little Russian Winter White hammy. Here he has lost most of his winter-time white coat (they turn mostly/all white in the winter, hence the name). Hands-down the best hamster I've ever met. Never bites, just licks a lot, never hides, always excited and wants to see what's up and get picked up. He also follows me around the house in his ball when I call his name. He falls asleep in my hoodie pocket or pretends he's in Shadow of the Colossus all over me while I play FFXI.

One time I left his cage open only to find him missing that evening and every door in the house had been ajar. Shit. I put his cage, open, on the floor in the hallway and found him running in his wheel the next day, happy as can be.

this is magtheridon, maggie for short. she was my puppy when i lived in alabama, but stayed there when i moved to cali. we saved her from the pound before they were going to put her down. she died in feb this year. she was barely 2 years old, had some tumors or something on her liver. i found out while i was in disneyworld so i cried all over the park for like 2 days.

i want a new puppy or kitten but the bf is being a real cunt about it cuz he doesnt want fur all over his clothes or bed. any ideas?
