got a few pics of the other two snakes. this is my honduran milksnake. he's kind of twitchy, doesn't bite (at all) but does not tolerate handling in the slightest. very flighty. he doesn't come out on his own much, prefers to stay either underground or in his box. he was out exploring today so i figured i would snap a few. the flash startled him so he ran like a scared little rabbit. these guys are a lot bigger than the north american milk snakes, topping out at about two meters. this one is a little over a meter, and is about 3 years old.

    Spoiler: show

this is my hypo arabesque pattern boa constrictor. he's a sweetie. hearty eater. he's eating the same amount as that milk snake, and is about half the size. putting on weight and pretty much growing visibly week to week. was born this summer, from a local breeder here in fresno.

    Spoiler: show

Need some assistance from the vet posters. For the past two days our cat has shit in the nursery(on the carpet) and in the spare bedroom(on the blanket.) Both poos had bloody slime at the end and smell like absolute fucking death. Have an appointment with the vet tomorrow. Any ideas what we're looking at? Besides poop.

Maybe she ate something she shouldn't have. I remember my cousins dog ate part of a towel once, and pooped blood for a few days until it finally shat the towel out. Any time my sisters dog has eaten something it can't digest properly, or something that's not meant to be digested, it causes blood in the stool.

I was told once that my cat pooping some blood was stress related, since it was shortly after we had moved to a new apartment. It went away after she got used to the place and calmed down, and it was never a real danger. Since your cat is pooping where she shouldn't, it also could be stress related. She could see the nursery/baby as a threat to her territory and that is why she's doing her business there, trying to mark the place as hers. The cat is stressed by this threat, and thus the blood. I can't say why the smell would be that much worse though, so it could actually be something else entirely. The inappropriate elimination is a sign of stress though, and stress can cause bloody stools.

Vet says it's anxiety. Meatball does not get along with our dog. Partly because Meatball is a sissy. He's never actually swatted Voltron when he comes close. He ends up hissing and running away. Vet gave us some pheromones to put in the room he spends the most time in. Supposedly it should calm him down. We'll see. Maacha gets the gold star.

Yay ^^ Hope the pheromones (Feliway?) help, they don't always work on all cats. There are pheromone collars you could try as well, if the diffuser option isn't getting results.

    Have some new cat pictures

So one of my kittens has separation anxiety. Love her to death but man is it frustrating sometimes when I gotta peel her off me when she wants to groom my face off.

Since I just posted about my dog in the random fail thread, I might as well leave a picture. This is our Boxer, Murphy, and our Boston Terrier, Stella, swapping beds.

    Boxer
Oh man I think Boxers are hilarious. My cousin has a Boxer, Brutus, and he has the most ridiculous bug eyes and shakes his entire body when he gets excited. He;s cute as hell in a weird way.

new male carpet python. a little over 30". squirmy but not snappy. shed yesterday, first meal with me today. really good feeding response, i was relieved because he's kind of shy. i'll breed him with the big female i have, once he hits maturity in a year or two.

My new girls. I picked them up from the airport yesterday (they came by cargo), as they came from a breeder in Japan and I could not take enough time away to go pick them up in Japan myself.

This is Eris, 3.5 months old and TINY for a Maine Coon, but I love her coloring. The pattern is called silver patch tabby with white; she has a mishmash of orange and silver coloration with white on her belly and paws.

Here she is with our 1.5 year old male, who is just over 6kg now. He loves her already (not in a pedophile way... he's treating her as his own kitten almost).

This is Ruby, 6.5 months old and already as large as our 1 year old female from a Korean breeder. We're attending a show tomorrow and we'll be showing her already, even though she'll likely still be nervous after changing homes. The breeder was sad to part with her, as she had been planning to keep her for herself, but she is happy that I'll be showing her and we'll likely make a deal later where I can send/bring her one of Ruby's kittens.
