    Question 1
Since Dynamis was introduced, the Goblin NPCs in Davoi, Beadeaux, and Castle Oztroja that convert Dynamis currency into their larger and smaller denominations also offer the player the option to trade multiple "100 coins" for synthesis items used in the various relic weapon quests.

This particular feature seems to have been forgotten entirely by the developers, and since its introduction has always assigned a disproportionate value of coins vs. reward. Take for example the average Dynamis run (which used to cost 1000000 gil) and the average coin turnout for a decently completed area (200 without any lucky "100 coin" drop) which places the developers' expected value of 5000 gil per coin (a neutral number disregarding the playerbase demand on specific currencies). Now take an example such as the griffon hide, which is already an exceptionally common drop from Orc Vanguards in Dynamis - San d'Oria. The goblin asks for 8 Montiont Silverpieces for 1 of these hides. That places the in-game value of one hide at 4000000 gil. Since a majority of these offered items are only used for relic upgrades (and the second stage upgrade at that, where only 300-500 coins are requested compared to the 500+ coin cost of the materials needed to trade in for the quest), that would also imply the developers were giving the option of adding to the already large amount of required coins to pay for the upgrade process.

There are far more outrageous conversions of currency vs. materials, such as 2500 coins for a Behemoth Horn, which is an extremely common drop off of ISNM now. Take also into account that frequency of the drops from Dynamis itself such as griffon hides and goblin grease outweigh the demand of the number of relic weapons both the players and developers are obtaining, this feature seems to be very outdated. What was the developer's intent with the goblin offering these trades, and have they considered adjusting the items offered for trade and costs required to make ancient currency more viable outside of relic weapons alone?

    Question 3:

In your ongoing and fairly successful campaign to curb RMT in FFXI, you have greatly reduced the number of gil hunters, and you have started to issue bans against gil buyers. However, there is a 3rd major element involved in the dynamics of real money trade.

This element is players who turn rare-ex items into sellables by selling lotting rights. On many servers, there are groups that have turned powerful rare/ex drops such as Ace's Helm, Hauteclaire, sea torques and others into lucrative gil making franchises.

This type of service stimulates a demand for such items among the large class of 75 players who are not ordinarily able to obtain them by legitimate means. Some of these players then turn to RMT to obtain the millions of gil needed to purchase.

To discourage real money trade, have you considered banning the sale of rare/ex items and shout advertisements for such sales?

    Question 1:

One of the most time consuming quests in FFXI is The Indomitable Spirit quest which grants the Ebisu Fishing rod as a reward. A high fishing skill, multiple guild point items, and hundreds of hours of trying to land fish that require fishing enhancement rings (which are laborious to get as well) are needed to complete the quest and receive the rod. However, the Ebisu rod itself offers no noticeable benefits over the lushang fishing rod. The only side benefit is that it wont break, but when you consider a player needs high enough woodworking skill to fix the lushang during the Indomitable Spirit quest itself, that isn't really much of a bonus. Are there any plans to enhance this relic of fishing rods? Or is it simply a trophy item?

    Question 2:

Some of the most highly sought after pieces of equipment are those that give +movement speed. Are there any plans to give jobs such as bard and samurai options to obtain gear that can give them a permanent movement speed bonus?

    Question 1:

Black Mage has not received any updates in over four years, and magic damage has been made considerably less powerful. Cumulative magic resistance is very annoying. On top of this, Scholar is just as powerful, if not more powerful, in most situations. Scholar is vastly more MP efficient and can do more damage with the same amount of MP. Ancient Magic II spells are very poor efficiency. Scholar can sub Red Mage and get defensive spells and almost as much Magic Attack as 75 Black Mage. Black Mage cannot effectively sub Scholar. What are your plans for re-establishing Black Mage as the premier magic damage dealer?

    Question 2:

In the past, new HNMs were seen as a challenge. However, in the last few expansions, they have either been not challenging at all or relied on gimmicks. For example, we have things like Nidhogg which are very easy, maybe a 2/10. Then we have things like Cerberus and Khimaira which are a 3/10 in difficulty. At most, we have Vrtra which is a 5/10 if you don't zerg. Finally, there are Absolute Virtue and Pandemonium Warden at 10/10 or possibly 11/10. Where are our mobs at level 6-9 difficulty? Are there any plans to introduce HNMs that are difficult and require skill, but that do not rely on tricks or gimmicks?

    Question 4:
What is the reason for SE to force players fight some HNMs in a particular way you want? (hint Absolute Virtue Souleater KC nerf, Draw in implementation of AV, Draw in of Cerberus)

    Question 5:
Do you feel satisfied as a developer that your playerbase looses interest in "Absolut Virtue" and "Pandemonium Warden" because they are unbeatable?

    Question 1
What are the plans on making dancer a more useful job? Many people leveled this job to 75, and really enjoy it for low man and solo events, but find it completely useless when doing any type of endgame event. The ability to cure outside of our own party would have a simple, yet huge, impact on us.

    Question 2
The limitations (apparently)imposed on ffxi by the PS2 has limited many things in the game, including inventory sizes and macross. What options are being looked into to improve on these issues? Some things are already not available on the ps2 (turning off weather effects) so possibly updates could occur without the ps2.
As mentioned before, 6line macros are the reason many PC users end up using windower.

    Question 1
Unfortunately some situations that players can encounter in FFXI do not have good options for food. As it stands, there seems to be no food available that provides magic attack/magic accuracy enhancements (outside of modest increases to intelligence/mind/agility). There are also no melee foods that function similar to cookies (short duration but stack to 99 and are relatively cheap to make). Mages would enjoy the ability to use food to enhance their abilities directly, the way melee do. Melee would enjoy the ability to use a food for attack or accuracy that is easy to carry several of, and easy to replace if the effect is lost. Do any already existing foods serve these functions? If so, what are they? If not, can they be added?

    Question 2
Attempting to use items while paralyzed is a very frustrating exercise for the player; especially when the item use attempted is to try to remove the paralysis itself. Typically this results in both an interrupted action and the loss of the item trying to be used. This is not the case when other actions are attempted while under paralysis status. MP is not consumed when a spellcast is paralyzed, and ninja tools/ranged ammunition are not consumed when an attempt is interrupted due to the ailment.

When can we stop losing items we try to use while paralyzed?

    Question 3
Rangers have not seen new ranged weapons that definitively outperform existing ones that were first introduced in Rise of the Zilart. Many rangers are frustrated at having seen no progress since obtaining their weapon of choice at level 55 or level 67. Very few, if any, believe that even a fully upgraded mythic weapon will service them better than one of the existing options from Zilart. This frustration is further increased by the new equipment made available to Corsairs over the last few version updates. Will rangers ever have a weapon added that does more damage than the old options they obtained before they first hit level 70?

    Q1:

Many players feel that gathering soul plates to produce zeni to obtain pop items for the various ZNMs is extremely tedious and time consuming. As it stands, there is no difference between someone who has taken thousands of pictures or someone who just picked up their first Soultrapper.

Are there plans to make photography a skill trade to provide long-term benefits? Perhaps access to better cameras (shorter recast, higher success rate, more charges, etc) and/or improved zeni per plate could be some of the perks, or perhaps even the ability to trade more then 10 plates per game day.

    Q2:

A large number of players are of the opinion that Mythic weapons are not worth the extremely large time and gil commitment. By comparison to Zilart relics that require an enormous gil investment and a rather small content commitment (dynamis only), Mythics require approximately the same gil commitment (on the order of 100M) but a much much MUCH larger content commitment (assault, salvage, nyzul isle, einherjar, ZNM, etc).

Will the quest requirements (namely alexandrites) be further reduced to put the respective difficulties more on par? Or alternatively, will the Aftermath abillities be adjusted to make Mythics more desirable (recieve all three buffs at various degrees rather then only one at a time)?

    Q3 (not serious):

Do the developers feel pride or shame that after all these years AV still has yet to be defeated "as intended" by the player base? If the last virtue is patience, I think we've waited long enough... Can we expect PW to be the same, where every method found to defeat it is subsequently deemed "unsatisfactory" and gets quickly and quietly fixed in the next patch.

    Question 1
When will the supposed Zilart Relic weapon buff happen? Have you ever thought of changing the modifiers on the past relics, most are completely random such as scourge/gate of tartarus along with such bonus affects as shock spikes and choke. Why do you refuse to give mages a relic or mythic that is better then HQ staves, mages do not melee things we are mages not melee.

    Question 2
I and every other mage in the game would love if the elemental obi's from sea could be combined into 1 obi even if it is through a difficult quest that requires you to have all 8 obi's first and then something else, this would be immense and would help combat limited inventory. The same goes for elemental staves, Summoners were given Bahamauts staff which essentially allows them to get rid of all their elemental staves minus apollo/pluto for curing and resting, will black mages ever be able to have a similar staff as of now 24 inventory goes to all 8 elemental grips/8 elemental obi's/8 elemental staves. Also the same should be done for gorgets from sea for melee.

    Question 3
Will you ever consider having a website that we can use as a medium to converse with SE employees directly outside of suggestions/feedback?
Im absolutely positive that all the players in FFXI would enjoy being able to see actual replies to their questions by people of importance in a semi online face to face encounter.

also want to just mention shitty lootpools like hydra and how claustrum is absolutely useless but i only get 3 questions

    Question 1
The introduction of Moblin Maze displayed a new form of storage in which using Runes/Vouchers made them stored within a tabula. Is it possible to use this feature in other areas of FFXI such as equipment and R/EX item storage?

    Question 2
Blue mage are incapable of keeping their spells set after changing classes. Are there any plans to change this or allow them to store spell sets?

    Question 3
Are there any plans to increase macro lines?

    Question 1:
Conflict was once a entertaining sport, something different for the gamers who wanted to do something short before leaving or a event. In the past few years have you noticed that players have moved to 1 server to Keep this excellent sport alive? Fenrir for example is known as the Ballista Server to 80% of all people who take interest in it. Are there ANY plans for any sort of update for the Conflict system? Many people have suggested a way to Ballista with other cross server players which would fix Conflict forever is this possible?

Question 2: The ZNM Tier 5 is Definitely the talk of the town, these last few months linkshells have been very close to killing this Supreme being getting to as close as 21% before depop. I understand the highlight you guys got becuase of the 18 hour battle but is there any chance this fight could be raised to 3 hours instead of 2.

Question 3: The ZNM system is great it was a well thought out plan and challenging with the new mobs. Currently all the the Tiers except Tier 5 have 3 Different types of monsters to choose with a seal, are there any plans in the future to add another Tier 5 mob to list?

    Question1:

In order to finish a mystic weapon you need HNM drops from Tier 4 ZNM Bosses. Players who would want to do a mystic could not know of this requirement. Many gave their items to Sanraku but now want it back. I think this is unfair as they already achieved the goal you gave them but are now stuck doing it again.

Do you plan to make an option at Sanraku where he will give you your Tier 4 ZNM item back in exchange for the Seal Key item? Or add "Pandemonium Key" as a possible step to the last Mystic quest?

    Question 2:

What is the reason Relic and Mystic weapons lose even simple stats like Enmity +10 or ATK +20 when wielded in your offhand ? Other weapons like the Perdu weapon maintain their visible and secret stats perfectly.

Is it a technical limitation because they are coded differently? Is it a measure to prevent players getting too powerful? Seeing that 2handers now dominate the DD scene this would hardly seem needed. Or do all the stats need to disapear to not cause a game conflict for the aftermaths? but Relic Gk and Bow can still be worn and used at the same time perfectly.

    Question 1:

Use of third party tools has taken RMT's place in terms of wildly out of control objectionable behavior in FFXI. Whereas several years ago, HNMLS's denied using "claim bots", now they not only admit it, they openly justify, encourage and in some cases require their members to use them. In fact, simply visiting most LS's public websites will reveal that encouraging the use of bot programs starts with the application process. What is Square Enix doing to curb cheating which has become not just rampant but standard among English speaking end gamers?

    Question 1:

The use of 3rd party programs to monopolize claim of HNMs has become a serious problem on many servers, to the point where linkshells who don't use them stand almost no chance of claiming. What is being done to fight against the use of claiming tools?

    Question 2:

Are there any plans to add the ToAU and WotG jobs onto the Relic weapons, or release new Relic weapons for them?

    Question 1
With the long wait times between endgame activities (generally 72 hours), many players find themselves with nothing to do when logging in between events. Aside from resorting to doing Campaign or sitting around with party flag up on a lower level job, there is very little to do. Would it be possible to take another look at Quest rewards to make them more appealing? Currently, the majority of quests in Final Fantasy XI have nothing to entice players into completing them. One way to change this would be to give small-medium experience points rewards (300-2000 exp reward) for completing general quests, as well as a decent amount of gil (3,000-20,000 gil reward.) With this incentive, players would have something to occupy them while seeking party or waiting on event timers to refresh.

    Question 2
Changing jobs can sometimes be overwhelming due to moving gear around, especially when you only have a few inventory spots open. Would it be possible to enter Mog House and "swap" entire inventory sets, like instantly swapping all items in Mog Locker with all items in Inventory? This would allow you to keep all gear for certain jobs in the same place, and simply swap to that inventory set when you change jobs (while moving medicine and ninja tools around manually afterwards if needed.) It would save players a lot of time, especially Bards and Red Mages, both of which carry around many many items to play the job effectively.

    Question 3
Pet jobs seem to have so many restrictions, flaws, glitches, and lack of gear choices that the players who really like the good parts of these jobs find themselves not being able to play the job in most, if any situation at all. Controlling pets is difficult and oftentimes frustrating. Instead of focusing on jobs that are generally fine the way they are (Samurai, Dark Knight, Warrior, etc.) is there any chance the development team would take some time and focus specifically on pet jobs, and their pet's AI to make them not only easier to use, but more useful and desirable for parties and endgame events?

    Question 1
The automaton attachment "Tactical Processor" is an attachment that the entire Puppetmaster community has yet to figure out. What does it do exactly? How does it affect the AI of the automaton, and what is meant by "Decrease decision-making time"?

    Question 2
With the recent decrease in the amount of gil NPCs will buy items, there is concern that the economy is going into a strong deflationary trend. What plans do you have to counter this?

    Question 3
In comparison to Dynamis relics and other endgame weapons, the mythic weapons appear to be inferior, yet require more work to earn. For most jobs, it just doesn't seem worth it to get a mythic. Do you have plans to increase the strength of the mythic, or make it easier to get a mythic weapon?
