In my mind, she's guilty, but the lack of hard evidence and only circumstantial evidence didn't bode well for the prosecution. Not really surprised she got away with it.

I agree. The thing everyone cant understand is the way they reacted when she was missing. Who doesnt freak out when their kid is missing or dead? Who doesnt call 911 if their kid falls in a pool, or is missing? They couldnt prove she physically killed her kid, but all the lies ontop of lies is what makes most people very suspicious.

Yeah, Twitter and Facebook is all these people out of the woodworks displaying how outraged they are this happened. Like, did they honestly expect she would be found guilty? I wonder more how her parents will be with all this going forward...since she completely threw them under the bus to save her own ass.

She's still going to serve time for 4 perjury charges. Maybe another year or so.

Not really, you have to prove that they didn't have cause to bring you to trial in the first place. And before any of that goes down, the state has to prove, in front of a judge, that they have reason to indict you. It's a fine system from that aspect. A lot of cases never go to trial because of insufficient evidence.
