Besides that, it's not that Reeves is horrible for it physically, but I'm not sure he'd be able to capture the smooth nuance of Spike. He's been a slightly better actor lately, but I really doubt he has the chops to pull it off as it should be.

Agreed. Physically, I honestly wouldn't worry. He's had a shit ton of training from his Matrix bulletdodging/godlike days and what not. It's his personality, or lack there of a personality. HE HAS NO PERSONALITY. I mean.. unless Spike says "Woah" for the whole movie, it's going to be like listening to a brick wall.

Except he probably couldn't shave the stache from My Name Is Earl, and yeah I was kinda surprised how much Rogen does remind me of spike in that picture.

I'll try to stay optimistic. The original director is signed on, at least, so hopefully he'll make sure things aren't too hollywoodized...
Reeves could surprise us but I'm ready to be underwhelmed there.
