    Best Buy Anime Blowout

    Dunno if anyone posted this yet,

    Best Buy is essentially canning the anime section in many stores, so all non Blu Ray anime instant 50% off in those stores. You can sucker some into giving you Blu Ray 50% off if you jumble them in with regular dvds.

    I had to drive all the way to Compton to find a participating store, and they were largely cleared out of anything that wasn't death note/naruto/bleach. Should have gone yesterday.

    Thanks for the heads up, bought a stack o' stuff myself. Christiansburg location still had a decent amount, though fewer "complete collections" than I would have liked.

    Is there a list of stores that are participating in this or is it just a "go in and hope" kind of deal?

    The list at the top is of all the store numbers. Can go to their web site to check what your local store numbers are and punch products in to see whats in stock.

    I went in and spent $170 on half-priced anime after I saw this thread.

    Got:

    Lucky Star 3-4, Gurren Lagann Vol. 1 with DX box. Welcome to the NHK sets 1 & 2, Guyver set, Hellsing OVA vol. 1, Kino's Journey set, and a few others I can't think of at the moment.

    My girlfriend bought the Blood+ first set which was originally $99. Good deal.
