Is it possible to talk to all the Quasilumin to grab the palace map solo, or is that suicidally unfeasible?

Yes it is. I went RDM and just slept any aggro on the way up and down the towers. The only problem is the dark ghrahs, and those are easily avoided.
Use the teleporters between floors, movement speed+, or logging. It was a long time ago but I think if you know the path, you should make it to the teleporters before they catch up to you.
Did the same thing, Rdm/Blm, /Blm for the extra sleep, keep yourself hasted and you should be alright, also have escape when you've gone up a tower and ready to leave this way.
I soloed all my sea maps on BRD. Pretty much I slept and logged hate repeatedly. One thing you can do is pull a mob out of its normal area and sleep it, then either log hate or use a porter or something. It'll despawn and you'll have a free run to wherever for about a minute.
After I soloed my maps, it was amazing how well I knew the palace and garden areas.
I soloed them on whm and helped many others in teams of 2-3. Definitely suicidally possible with minimal exp loss on whm main :3
Ghrah are easy to deaggro.. don't need to log hate at all. Zedi will also eventually deaggro, but take longer and keep up with you better.
^ this, plus u can pop Sprinter's shoes and normally not get hit. If you have movement speed + sprinter's then you have a higher chance at not getting touched/killed at all.
This is similar to what I did. At first I simply just paid attention to where we were and if there were any quasis around during sea runs, was able to knock a few off on blm, but when it came down to the last few, brd was the way to go. I can't remember if there were any light ghrahs in the way, but don't remember it being an issue.
Soloing does not require any deaths at all if you're careful. I don't know your jobs, but if you have brd or blm and could possibly get a partner as the other, you can blaze through it, well... as fast as those escort quasis move, that is.
It's definitely possible to solo but bring some form of Reraise because it's very easy to die. Resists happen, etc. Also my best piece of advice is not to rush it. The more I tried to push through quickly the more I would unintentionally aggro shit. While doing the sea maps raped my BLM buffer thoroughly, I'm really quite glad that I have it done now.
Very easy on just about any mage job. Sleep and run to the nearest teleporter to drop aggro. Even if you get caught with your pants down, Ghrahs almost always start to cast first and unless it's Gravity, Sleep or Bind, you'll have plenty of time to run out of range and get a huge head start on them. You can probably train the whole damn zone to a teleporter if you just don't stop running.
Quite possible, and if you're not too good at soloing or sneaking around, some reraise and flee items can help a lot.
It's even easier if you duo. Take turns training, second person servers as a back-up raiser in case of accidents (assuming they have ability to raise). I'm sure there's someone on the server who'd respond to a /shout for a map duo.
