- Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition: $17.49 ($12.49 after coupon)
Legend of Grimrock is on sale for five bucks this weekend.
Anyone know if it's worth getting? I see all these reviews calling it the best thing since sliced bread but the videos and screenshots make me hesitate to drop any money on it.
I've only played for like 3h so far, but it was a really great experience. Haven't had time to pick it back up though. Thanks jerb.
Turns out it's pretty alright. There were some dumb moments like getting boxed into a corner by enemies, but overall it seems pretty solid. It's one of those games where I started playing and then looked up and went "oh shit, I need to get to bed because I have work tomorrow". It's easy to lose track of time in that dungeon.
The Witcher 2 is $9.99 for midweek madness. Basically stealing it for that price, grab it if you havent already

Is it me or do product page screenshots on Steam always look like complete ass, as if they were shot at a different resolution/aspect-ratio, then scaled to 1080p, with JPG artifacts introduced?

I know this isn't the right place to ask but I'm not sure where to ask but is anyone else having issues connecting to Steam tonight? It says it needs to do an update and then says there was a fatal error and it couldn't connect to Steam.
http://www.gamersgate.com/bioshockinfinite
Pre-order Bioshock Infinite and get about $20 worth of "blue coins" to spend on other games back plus two free games. You get the original Bioshock plus your choice of one of: Bioshock 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Darkness 2, Civ V, or Mafia 2. All appear to be Steam keys.
Somehow I was able to get it to put all 6 games in my cart for the $59. I decided not to do it because I already have most of these games anyways. Not really sure if you'll actually get them all if anyone else wants to try it, but I figured it might be a good deal for someone who doesn't have any of those free games.
Greenmangaming.com has a very similar offer, however it probably won't give away extra free shit like Gamersgate.
Spoiler: show
after the fiasco that happened over the holidays with them not having keys and refunding people's bundles on mess ups, i'd be wary of trusting gamersgate on that, unless you only legit try for the 2 free games.
