New body pieces - Crystalline Prophecy

WHM BLM WAR BRD 75

I'm assuming that the Royal Redingote is the way to go, since I'm almost always on a mage...but what job should I set it up for and what stats?

I'm -thinking- about setting it up for my Bard; here are the stat's I'd pick, though:

MACC+4
Enhanced Fast Cast

Since I have my Manteel, I'd really only use it for a macro piece in Elegy/Lullaby/etc...but that's where the CHR+ and Mary's Horn comes in.

Any combinations for the Redingote (for either WHM BLM or BRD) and how I should use it?

Macc MAB for BLM, Fast cast enmity-5 whm, fast cast magic acc brd

Errant Houppelande > Royal Redingote for accuracy.
Sha'ir Manteel > Royal Redingote for speed.

The most use a mage job will get out of this is a Fast Cast body that can be macro'd into White and Black Magic, assuming you swap it out after you start casting for something more potent. Warrior won't get much benefit either though, except for an Utsusemi macro.

was it not proven that the +5int/4magic acc/4 magic attack was the 3rd best body for blm? outside having HQ body/morr?

if your looking for a mix of them go for fast cast and enmity i guess. but if you want a item thats worth it for one job then by all means aim for the blm if you dont have morr or HQ body.

the body wont change much for you anything. but 5% fast cast is nothing to just look past. very nice SS body for whm as you prob can take 5mnd hit for it to start with. same goes for blm. (aspir/drain)

and bard idk lol better bodys as it stands so ya blm body or the whm+blm body your call.

There's been no conclusive tests with Magic Accuracy. Subtracting the equal attributes you're left with 5 Charisma (6 on Mahatma Houppelande) versus 4 Magic Accuracy. Charisma would probably be better against things with high Charisma, and Magic Accuracy would probably be better against the weaker enemies, but you obviously wouldn't have trouble with them anyway.

Magic accuracy has been tested, the language is a little hard to understand but it's definitely an interesting read.

The results of these tests back this up quite well as every INT you add prior to reaching +10 INT over the target is the exact same thing as +1 Skill. Considering INT is generally much easier to obtain than Skill, I think that this build is only re-enforced by this testing.

The theory is that above +10 stat over the target, each stat adds .5 M.ACC.

Have there been any conclusive tests done on macc and brd? For instance would the 4 macc give brd a boost to both instrument and singing? If it did then ultimately this would be like giving brd an 8 macc piece. I'm not certain how brd magic skills work so I am more than likely completely wrong.
