When is it _not_ appropriate to wear W.Legs on Rdm?

Right now they're part of my main set on Rdm, but I'd like to get better. I mainly use them for driving my HP and MP up, but I could have just used Yigit legs to do that. I've been trying for some Nashira Seraweels off of Ultima, but who knows when I'll get a pair. So, what other alternatives can I look at acquiring?

Only things Cuisses are good for is running, resist setups and Convert if you're a Taru. Use Mahatma for potency, Wise Braconi for accuracy, AF legs for Enhancing Magic, Yigit for resting (if you have room) and so on. Those aren't necessarily the best options, but they're all easily obtainable.

It is not appropriate to wear on your healing and enhancing magic set's us when you could possibly be curing DRGs or PLDs that are wearing bahamut masks.
Even your AF1 (+1) are a better option.

I see RDM using W legs for the MP + on these sets and I want to slap them. There are better pieces, your stock AF1 legs are better.

Don't use wise braconi, you'll never take 2macc over 8mnd or 8int in a slot.

Why wouldn't you use these in an idle set? For the mp+, of course.
Don't see myself dedicating an entire inv slot for +3 mp/hp on prince's(or goli for that matter; +12% movement speed +27hp vs 1mp -3% phys damage is pretty negligible)

I know, but I like getting opinions from other people to see if there's anything I missed. I have Mahatma slops that I macro in for enfeebling and cures. I use the AF pants for Stoneskin, Phalanx, and Bar spells. I'm just uncomfortable with the idea of using the W.Legs for anything but running around.

Use mahatma for stoneskin unless you mean af+1 legs.

Crimson/blood is really just for running around/not casting. Unless you somehow have a lot of inv and macro in prince's/zenith/goliard when you're standing still and not casting.

If I already hit the Stoneskin cap with the enhancing skill I have and 2 mnd over what I need for Stoneskin, how would 8 Mnd help me more than that?

Swap out other pieces for fast cast/haste, then; or hp/mp so that your base doesn't drop when you begin casting.

I only said mahatma over warlock's because they add the same amount and you don't always need to carry warlock's around for phalanx and bar spells.

Pretty much in that order, they serve no other purpose. DEF is decent but there are others in the same ballpark with better stats (unless all you need is DEF and HP)

w legs are used when the stats on it are useful to you. let's break it down 1 stat at a time.
43 def: useful if you get hit and nothing more. not useful for casting anything. goli do more for standing still.
25 hp/mp: decent for convert if yigit are off the table. otherwise doesn't help casting.
+20 resists: are you trying to resist something? if not, pick something else.
+12 move: are you moving? if yes, wear, if not, pick something else.
therefore, if you're not moving, not converting, and not trying to resist something, you need to be in something else and not this.

also, wise pants are only 2 macc. mahatma are at worst 4 macc based on kaeko's figures. wise pants are trash.
