So whatever happened to Swamp Racing? And the Colliseum?

Around June of last year SE delayed their "Chocobo Racing... + Monsters!" thing that had screens from what looked like Pashow. Whatever happened to that?

And what's the word on the Colliseum? Wasn't there a ToAU timeline that showed they were adding that like a year ago as well?

It opened as scheduled, and several people on these boards have beaten the entire Swamptrot Series. You end up with a Pullus Torque (5th Race), Mythril Trophy (Not CS Mythril Cup, which is a different trophy item), and some Chocobo story cutscenes.

There's still a Gold Trophy, so presumably there will be more Races to be added.

Definatly out, as I beat all of them. You race against animals, like Sheep, Cactaur, Hares etc. Really annoying, but definatly released. Just.. nobody gave a shit so they forgot.

Because if you could control the Chocobos people would fleehack and poshack to win, not to mention that your latency would wreck every race that you enter.

This is very true and makes me sad every time I think of raising another Chocobo.

I agree. I would actually really like to raise an actual racing bird since my FC str and endurance chocobo is terrible past the first set of races, but getting chocobucks is just way too stupid.

I honestly don't see how anyone can have the patience for it unless they're botting the npc. There's just no reason for this many chocobucks to be needed for how long each race is with such little return.

Think of how cool the choco racing circuit could have possibly been, but they had to make it one of the most inaccessible things in the game.

In an interview, i believe they said that the colloseum was built without any real ideas for it. Maybe it's something they put on the back burner while they finished other content. The icons suggests PvP; a staff and sword crossed, where "the pit" icon shows two beats head to head.

I'll go ahead and post this since it is such an amazing grind, like people have said, to get to the end of the races. But, us being all die-hard FF fans, I think everyone should have been able to experience some of this.

It took literally probably over a hundred hours, months of spamming that npc to get the chocobucks to complete the races, and probably around 2 million gil, which is ridiculous. But I wanted my torque damnit, and the cs's actually ended up being uniquely interesting.

I don't know how to do the spoiler tab thing. Forgive my noobness. So IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CHOCOBO RACING STORY LOOK AWAY!

Shantotto is actually present in the Cardian race, and he casts ancient magic on the chocobos from time to time, lol. The sabotender was able to use the same speedy ability literally 10x in a row. Lots of weird quirks that would have been really worth it, especially it being such a light-hearted series of quest that for some reason ended up being as much of a grind as salvage. But cute nonetheless.

Edit: I'll take this down if people feel like I'm spoiling something for them.
