^I c wut you did thar
Mustang = Lockon and Hughes = Ali is pretty awesome.
Neither seemed bad to me, but that could change depending on certain scenes.
Wish they didn't have to waste the second ep setting up the back story yet again ;/
This is sending chills down my spine.
The good kind of chills.
Inoue Kouko as Lust is awesome.
Lockon as Roy is not.
And Winry being voiced by someone other than Megumi Toyoguchi is going to suck hardcore.
I'm kinda glad I never watched the original series in Japanese now, I have nothing to compare it to really.
I keep forgetting these things are available before the NA air date!
Thanks for the notice, The_OG_Nelta, very interesting Sad to hear some different voices, though.
Is this a remake of the original series or a continuation? I never watched the movie that happens after the anime.
Remake of FMA that's based off the manga storyline.
Just watched it, it retells the story from the beginning. Considering they are talking about Reole in it, makes me think the manga/first anime branch apart much later in the story?
King Bradley, Hughes(YATTA!), Lust/Gluttony are all present so far(out of characters I remember die by the end of the original anime), w/ Scar and Hohenheim in the opening credits as well
That's probably what surprised me the most. FMAv1 made a big deal of concealing Hohenheim's identity and power until later in the series, and here they are whoring him up in the intro. Probably to make up for the shit deal he got in v1.
That or it wasn't really meant to be a secret after all, and are just going to show us and what not. That's fine imo. He needed more screen time. Also, don't forget Kimblee. He wasn't around this early on in FMAv1 I don't believe and here he is actually getting shown in prison.
Holy fuck I had no idea they were remaking the anime. I stopped keeping track with anything FMA after I watched the original series and the movie. Just watched the first episode, and it was fantastic...so glad I have more FMA eps to look forward to watching again!
They were also quicker to the punch w/ showing the Fuhrer's power this time around
Bradley's last line in this episode is crazy awesome "foreshadowing," as long as you've read all of the manga.
