What kills me is they could be selling this game like fucking hot cakes if they would simply advertise and promote it right. It's a known fact world wide that people want more JRPG's on the PS3, but of course not. All they seem to care about now is Naruto and DBZ games.

It's not like they're bad at localization. They just hate the US/EU

They always take the longest of anyone to localize, if they do at all, and it's usually lacking in features.

With the way they localize the Tales series, they would have to get NA redubs for everything which I didn't see happening.

No idea why they never release japanese track with subtitles for Tales games, would be a lot less work plus the JP voice actors are better.

I still say them not releasing this game stateside during the PS2 era was probably their largest mistake. PS2 had such a high attach rate and this game was fucking rad.

Would it actually be possible for Atlus USA to localize this? I am sure they would be interested if they saw Namco Bandai had no plans to do it. See they like making money, that's why they are going to shove anything Persona or SMT related our way.

Tales of Vesperia’s Troy Baker, who plays protagonist Yuri in-game, has confirmed that Tales of Vesperiafor PlayStation 3 is coming to the west in the past. However, after eight months of release in Japan, Namco Bandai has yet to announce the game for localization. A video filmed back in April has been brought to my attention today. Apparently, none of the net picked this up, but here it is. The video shows Troy Baker during a Q&A session at Sakura-Con 2010 where he confirms Tales of VesperiaPS3’s localization. He even says himself that he doesn’t understand why Namco Bandai have yet to announce a street date for the release.A transcript from the Q&A that I’ve put together can be read below. Please note that there are probably a few errors, as at some points it was hard to make out what Baker was saying.

I'll still give it 1-2 more months ish before I completely rule it out. If still no sign of localized, then I'll just have to rebrush my JP up so I can import it. Tales of series was main reason why I started learning JP in first place. This is Bamco after all, they could still announce a localization late as fuck, but unlikely still.
