Square Enix Security Token Problem ><

I received mine Friday and I set up a SE account but when I try to link my token to any Playonline account it says "This PlayOnline ID cannot be linked." what the hell, then I tried it on 3 other accounts and got the same error message, anyone else have this issue? If so how did you fix it? I work 12 hours a day and I don't really want to waste all day tomorrow on the phone with SE.

pol id need to be in all caps for that?

Could be that you're trying to link accounts of a different region?

For instance you can't link an American SE account or a Japanese POL account, or European to American, or etc etc.

I chose English North America which is where I am is there a way to check incase I did infact choose the wrong option?

it is this(i bet) friend did the same thing ended up he had a EU account or something lol

SE had some problems (Startling isnt?) with SE accounts. Fixed now tho pursumably. So I'd double check everything and try again.

You could try and open up a new account with proper region, and try linking your ID.

Se fails at everything. I have the same problem. I chose a NA account, filled out info, linked token and then found out I could not link POL ID because SE recieved a EU account submission, instead of NA.

I logged a complaint and told him it is a problem on their end, but he said "I don't know how to say this but no it isn't. You did it." The fuck?? SE failing and then denying it refusing to even look into it? Big surprise. Seriously, whoever is leading SE is running it into the ground. When I take my trip to japan I am visiting HQ.

Anyway, /rant off. I had to do chat online because their lines were COMPLETELY busy. I couldn't even connect, just got a buzzing noise. Lodge a complaint and wait forever like me for their crack(head) team to fix your account.

Hey orden, was your issue fixed ^^;?
I have the same issue (opened SE EU account, linked token, tried to link to POL but no success).
They told me my POL account is NA, and an engineer will work on this issue.
It has been a month and agents refuse to give any status update as they say it is another department... and they don't have timeframe for this issue, and I should wait for an email when they fix it.

Haha, yeah that post was basically stating that bumps like this are OK.

Anyway, I can't tell you what they might be doing at the moment regarding your problem, you should call them ask. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get a "helpful" or experienced CSR.

It took me 3 calls to get a decent CSR that actually thought of connecting me to the "accounts" department regarding my credit card issue. After that, it was a breeze.
