I am at school so I can't pull up the website, but they were talking about it on the radio this morning.

STDCarriers.com is a website where you can enter the information of the evil bitch who gave you herpes!

You can enter info such as the name, age, city, state, STDs they are carrying or have had, warning about this person, and even a picture.

There is also a list of people who have been entered.

The slogan at the top of the page: click it before you stick it!

Some of the entries on there are just hilarious to read.

I am currently going to a Medical School where we focus a lot on HIPAA and the laws surrounding it. Is it considered a violation of HIPAA regulations if the information is submitted by angry ex lovers? It isn't submitted by any Health Professionals about patients... I dunno. I just thought it was something interesting to waste the day with.

The potential for defamation is what will bring this site down. I could list every person I know as having an STD and who's gonna stop me? The only thing I can think of is allowing a person to take down their own entry, but that would just prevent people who legitimately have STDs from being listed anyway, since they'll take down their own entries.

Yeah, this is a really fucking stupid idea. Entertaining though.
