Nothing game changing has happened to it, yes?
Nothing game changing has happened to it, yes?
I suppose they are. I've seen them floated around like a magical chalice but I've never really paid all that much attention to them.
No, your numbers are inferior, 330/130 is the bull god number. 95% capped magical accuracy with 330/130.
320 / 120 fail, get more if you can, and dont be like those idiots that thought 320 / 120 was CAPPED back in the other thread.
Does the 320 (or 330) represent only Elemental Skill or does it represent Elemental Skill + MAcc? Right now w/o food I have a 324(skill)/119(int)/5(macc) build for resistant mobs and I was wondering if that counts more like a 329/119 build then not.
Hard to tell, maybe more around 328~ / 119 counting the MACC+5, no one can tell for sure.
My RDM/SCH got 322 Skill and 111 INT atm (on Blizzard). Upgrades incoming to boost INT a bit more (money issue)... Also, +15 macc from Ice Macc Merits.

My BLM is only 66 atm, but I'm having fun nuking RDM/SCH
I would be interested to see the gear you use.
I don't have much call for nuking on anything more than T-VT, so never need to stack that much skill. 273 skill (with 4/5 ice merits and +4m.acc from gear) and 127 INT is good enough to nuke on most things.
RDM nuke set (lol)
If I did sub SCH with the same gear, that would be 299/127 build.
According to the tests reported on this blog, 1 magic accuracy should be treated as 1 skill.
I just got back from nuking puddings in zhayolm as RDM/SCH, was really easy with grav
I use the following gear:
- Aquilo's Staff / Bugard Strap +1 / ... / Phantom Tathlum
- Warlock's Chapeau +1 / Elemental Torque / Loq. Earring / Moldavite Earring
- Errant Houppelande / Genie Gages / Diamond Ring / Diamond Ring
- Merciful Cape / Penitent's Rope / Duelist's Tights / Duelist's Boots
Puts me at 322 skill /sch (with full merits) and 112 INT. Gives me a total of 1.33 Mab. Also +15 ice macc.
I know the skill is overkill, but it's just awesome to see such high number on RDM lol.
Do you break 1k on your T3 on puddings?
pretty sure he wont without using obi or something
Just curious how much dmg he's doin :3
shit is situational. People say amg amg need 330 skill, some swear by 320. Personally i go with 317 skill, 2macc(missing goli feet) and around 145-150 int for wyrms/gods, however i virtually always without fail have a corsair giving warlocks. If for some reason i dont, then i tend to throw on ele torque for 324 skill and omega ring for +3 macc at the cost of 2 int. Never fails for me and also gives me a lot of flexability.
Something like longbowed chariot i tend to go closer to 330/100, but that is as much down to int often being locked as anything else.
Since we've moved from blm to rdm I'll risk a slight derail concerning the ability of ninja to hit the 'magic numbers'
this gear set:
HQ Staves
Appropriate elemental grip
Phantom tath
AF+1 hat
Ninjutsu torque
Stealth ear
Ninjutsu ear
Osode
Seiryus Kote (nothing really available in this slot)
Snow ring
Snow ring
Astute Cape
Relic Belt
Denali Pants
AF2+1 feet
This set gives:
7 Macc
22 INT
37 Skill
A taru nin/rdm with ninjutsu/INT merits eating cream puffs would get these numbers:
7 Macc
72 (base) + 5 (merits) + 7 food + 22 (gear) INT= 108 INT
285 + 37 skill = 322 skill
If 1 macc=1 skill that would basically be 329/108.
Is this worth considering at all in any situation? Would there be any situation where it would be worth considering if SE added some +12 INT gloves to bring the number to 329/120? Free nuking with no MP would be nice, and pulling hate as a ninja would not be a problem. I'm pretty sure the tradeoff would be that it would take 4-5 :san nukes to equal 1 blm nuke and TP moves from mobs you need 320/120 on are generally not too pleasant. Is there a use for this?
Assuming 117 base INT (taking off 5 for Aquilo's Staff )
Thunder III : ~740 DMG
Blizzard III : ~706 DMG
For puddings I would swap:
Merciful Cape -> Prism
Duelist's Tights -> Mahatma Slops
Genie Gages -> Yigit Gages
that will net you +17 INT and + 2 MAB:-
Thunder III : ~801 DMG
Blizzard III : ~767 DMG
And I doubt you would notice the lose in skill.
1k Tier III is possible on RDM, but requires morrigan's, obis, novio earring and weather.
Edit, I'm not sure why my numbers don't match his Screen Shot...
I messed around on puddings as RDM/BLM (before I leveled /sch) with a few LS mates.
I was doing 710 Blizzard III (780 with day of the week) and ~750 Thunder III.
That was with set I linked earlier. Resists were minimal.
