Yeah, Kit Harrington looks like an odd Jon, but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt since everyone else looks fantastic.

Just chiming in, I started reading the series out of the blue when looking for new reading matieral. I am loving it. About 35% through the first book, very very eager to watch the HBO series to see how it compares.
Jamie looks spot on.
I've read all the books but I did lose some interest when the last of my favorite characters died off and several of the more interesting subplots(imo) faded so far into the background that they're almost nonexistent. Don't get me wrong though, it's still a fantastic series.
^I did accidently come across 1 death spoiler already and was just like, "gdi, noooo!" Seeing too many really interesting/fun/awesome characters get killed can really rub some nerves raw after a while.
Made the books more engaing the first time through as you soon realize that no one (including whomever you think the main characters are), is really safe. So when a character you really like is in a dangerous situation is becomes all the more suspenseful as theres no gaurantee he/she will survive.
Although, I am curious as to whether or not certain character deaths will be changed in the TV version.
Yeah the suspense is really awesome, while nerve-wracking. Really looking forward to this and hope they don't change anything too major.
Tyrion needs to be uglier.
Yeah I agree with that, him being very notably ugly is pretty important to his personality and how he is reacted upon.
well he'll be uglier once
Spoiler: show
Oh fuck yes. Cannot wait. Saw this tonight before Boardwalk Empire.
Also for those of you with HBO there is going to be a 15 minute "Behind the scenes" show next Sunday before Boardwalk Empire.
It's gonna take a while before I can see Boromir as Ed Stark... It may have been a mistake to cast someone who's already known for a Sword & Sorcery style fantasy character, especially since everyone that will watch this has almost certainly seen LotR a dozen times.
Eh I actually liked the casting only because I loved Sean bean in lotr.
I mean really its like complaining that Bruce Willis has been a cop in different movies only to been seen as John mcclain of die hard each time.
I only think of Sharpe when I see Sean Bean. None of this Boromir nonsense.
Who is the girl with the terrible bleached blonde hair? Is that supposed to be Sansa or Cersei? I can't tell. That hair is atrocious though.
Sean Bean is awesome, he will be a great Eddard Stark imo
