It's the only place his death wouldn't be questioned. Also she had no idea he would lead the assault cause lets face it tyrion didnt know he would either. Cersei didn't have a pov in the book but I can imagine she probably told ser mandan Moore that tyrion is not to survive the siege leaving it to MM to decide when was the best time to do it.

in the books it's never established that Cersei sent him, just speculated. Littlefinger (Moore and he both come from the Vale) and Varys (a sneaksy eunuch) are the other major suspects. a lot of folks believe the assassination was done by an outside party to weaken the Lannisters not just semi-pointless fratricide; if the city falls, which Cersei clearly believes it will, Tyrion dies anyways, but then again she isn't the most rational of gals

Long story short: Yes, Cersei is that dumb. As I said earlier, she's just smart enough to be dangerous but not smart enough to be successful. We will be seeing more of this later, though not for a while.

Also, the Wildlings were originally just First Men who lived north of where the wall was built, but now they are their own independent culture. Season 3 will show us a lot of it.

I thought that Littlefinger's conversation with Sanza was a tad creepy, moreso than usual. It won't happen, not if Joffrey doesn't discard Sanza, but I thought LF was prepping Sanza to be the mother of the sons he professed in court that he must now have (sarcastically perhaps). My thinking is if he can't have Lady Stark, Sanza will do just fine in her place.

Will start reading the books now, I've had them since Christmas lol.

Yea, but why would they need to bag him if they were gonna turn him over, wouldn't they need to show them who they have so Bolton's ppl don't kill the ironborn on-sight? and why would the people who came to take Winterfell burn it down?

The Ironborn coulda been the ones to burn it down, but can't easily surrender after fucking a place up like that. Unless they used it to get away, but then why would they bag Theon unless they just got sick of him talking too damn much and not wanting to run so they knocked him out to bring back home?

The whole Winterfell scene was deliberately left to confused you and make you wonder who actually burned it. The usage of the word "they" was intentionally ambiguous. So no you're not missing anything, and if you want to really know you're going to get spoiled by book readers.

I was also puzzled by this as well.

Either
a) they burnt it all down and left with Theon
b) a siege took place where the ironborns and the bannermen battled and that was the after-math, they took Theon back home...
c) ironborns took Theon to the bannermen and left (thus still asking the question who burnt down winterfell)..

AHHHH I don't want to know, I'll stop coming here and just wait until I either read the books or watch it next year.

Keep in mind that Bran and Rickon are pretending to be dead. When the wider world discovers their "death," the line of succession for Winterfell (And the North) will change. Sansa becomes Robb's heir, until he has a kid.
