Switching nation in the past

I am currently Allied to Windurst in the past, but I wanted to change to Sandy. The problem is that I am currently on the mission/quest Feast for Gnats. I don't want to lose my progress, and only want to join Sandy long enough to collect the 4 pieces of Iron Ram gear. Does anyone know if this will mess up my missions line with Windy?

Unlike for the rank mission in the present you can do all 3 storylines in WotG since they're just quests. I'm from Sandy and have been since I got WotG and have currently done all 3 nation storylines... so don't see why there's any risk of losing progress. Also you can buy Iron Ram gear without being from Sandy just costs a bit more.

no progress lost at all. they're quests and you can do them as any nation once the minimum requirements are met. changing nations halfway thru wont affect them in any way..

As others have said, you lose no progress on any of the quest lines when switching past nations.

However, I believe that changing to a new nation for the first time requires that you do that nation's introductory quest (all are ridiculously simple). Changing back to a nation that you were previously allied to does not require you to re-do that quest, but does cost you your highest two campaign medals.
