Few questions about Chocobo raising, etc.

Currently day 32, Choco is doing really well. Busting ass on working it daily at the stables, and so on.

Recently I just completed the dirty hankerchief quest which gives you the Chocobo Whistle, and had a question.

Does riding/calling your choco affect its stats in anyway? I know you can re-register with the VCS the same Choco again if its stats are better (Just like choco racing). But back to the question, does this affect my choco in anyway?

Also does Chocobo racing do anything also (stat wise)? Or are these completely unaffected.

I'm pretty sure that riding it and racing it do not effect the stats at all.

It's sort of like "registering" your chocobo creates a copy of it that can be used for those purposes, which are completely detached from the raising process.

I swear there's a chocobo raising thread somewhere...may be in crafting or event. Try to hunt that down you may find some great info

Thats what I thought, but a friend of mine says its affected/linked. I checked all wikis, guides etc. and nothing is mentioned on the matter.

To more directly answer the question, no, racing and riding have no effect on your chocobo.
