FFXI, 8800GTS, and Win7(64bit)

It's back. :/ Once upon a time bard songs and other effects lagged the crap out of my system, then a certain Nvidia driver came along and fixed that issue. Now with the latest Win7 drivers (185.85) I'm having the same problem I used to in XP. Wondering if anyone else with an 8800 is experiencing this problem and if they found a resolution to it.

ive heard of people sticking with the default drivers that win7 uses for their cards. are u having issues with those too?

I haven't tried them yet but perhaps I'll try it out. I assume all I need to do is uninstall my current drivers and just reboot and let it auto detect the card.

i usually use something a long the lines of this to get rid of everything, but im not sure about win7 support.

Doesn't appear to be any change when using the default drivers. Still lags like hell in areas it didn't use to.
