How do we no thread about this? Just the trailer thread and Sarah Chronicles with like one post about the movie itself.

Thought it was a real good movie, though im having trouble deciding if i liked it better than Star Trek or not, think im kinda leaning towards ST.

It started off really good, but towards the last 1/3 of the movie it just got kinda.. meh?

Obviously with these movies you just kinda have to throw logic out, but some of the scenes were just wtf. When Marcus was fired upon by a Terminator earllier, and then let through later on was dumb, but I guess they did it to keep the guys robotness secret. And really, how does Marcus just stroll right through into the main room, and then when he's there only shuts down one thing instead of everything. "But his computer chip made him just lead John in instead of shutting down anything" Meh he was able to rip the chip out later, to excuse not to shut down everything at that point. And I assume Marcus is still alive, no reason he should be dead by just losing his heart, no reason he cant gt Johns and just repair it and have the machine use its back up power. Everything sorta just felt rushed at the end.

w/e though, still a good movie, I guess ill look forward to the other two.

PS. MFing Arnold Schwarzenegger FTW! Even if it was CG.

lol, I find it more humorous that a mod never changed it.. that thread has been around for how long now? Plan to see it this weekend even though all the reviews make it seem pretty worthless outside special effects/action scene's

I went in without much expectation. I came out thinking it was a pretty cool movie. I enjoyed alot of the things that they did with it and can forgive some of the mistakes they had. Overall pretty sweet flick

I'll spoiler it, I guess, but if you haven't seen Terminator 1 by now...

In 1984, a terminator was sent back in time by Skynet to kill Sarah Connor who is John Connor's mother. John Connor, in return, sent Kyle Reese back to protect Sarah Connor from the Terminator. While running from Ahnuld, Kyle knocks Sarah up and gives birth to John Connor. Kyle gets sent back in 2032 which is like 14 years after Terminator Salvation.

I thought the movie wasn't bad. Pretty much comparable to Terminator 3. It doesn't really add much to the Terminator storyline imo. Christian Bale wasn't bad, but it didn't seem much different than how he portrayed Batman.

Probably the best brainless action flick in a long time. The action sequences were really good and if you're willing to switch off your brain at the plot going a little...swiss at the end it's an enjoyable ride. The fight sequences with the Terminators were very old-school.

Definitely better than 3. I'd probably put it up near 1. I enjoyed it a lot. They did a real good job building up John's legend status to where we know it will end up in 2029.

Yeah. I agree on that though. However, reading the proposed original ending makes me happy they went with what they did.

Didn't have much expectation since McG's directing and was disappointed by the gratuitous violence and explosions that serve no purpose but "looking cool". it's slightly better than T3, but not by much. 7/10
