Last Airbender movie is ass, let's talk about Legend of Korra.

I dunno. I personally think the story was alright in Season 1, but the action was lacking in some parts, Season 2 had both impressive action and story (Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee are awesome), and Season 3 had a lot of action (Day of the Black Sun/Boiling Rock/Finale, etc) and such, but mediocre story since it was a lot of stuff I'd call filler, even if it's not really 'filler'.

And I was into the whol Katara/Aang thing. So eh, the ending was nice, but it felt a little rushed.

I agree on it feeling rushed. Felt that way the entire final episode for me. I still enjoyed it though. I would have liked them to have a bit more closure on Zuko and his mom, other than the fact that Ozai stated she's still alive.

Back on the movie though. I don't think M. Night has made any movies geared towards a younger audience before? Maybe it will turn out he's better at these than his horror films as of late. Or we'll all be disappointed with some crazy plot twist, and Aang will find out it was all the plants fault..

I did think the trailer looked okay, and while the fan of the series wants to nitpick at some of the things (like the Fire Nation attacking what looks like one of the Air Temples while Aang is there..?), the other part of me thinks the teaser looks okay. Then I remind myself it's just a teaser and all.. so I dunno. Mixed feelings still, but I'm not with everyone else who's worried about "Race Bending."

It's just a teaser, but this look pretty well done (Harry Potter kind of quality). If they can manage to keep this kind of visual quality through the whole movie, I don't see how it can be bad (even if the plot is stupid).


I never watched that series, but Night Shyamalan isn't a horrible director imo. His movie are generally pretty and got decent acting. People usually hate him because of the plot twist. I think this should be a semi decent adaption at least

Agreed. I hope to god they don't take away Aang's happy go lucky personality. Granted he was a little gloomy at the start when he realized that his people were gone, but after that.. he was like.. the direct opposite of a broody Zuko.

Yeah, I do agree. Aang needs to be a tad slimmer than that, but I guess that's nitpicking.

Also, I hope the actress playing Katara, and the actor playing Aang can have a nice dynamic.
