What are some pieces I should focus on getting first?
I've got Noble's + Blessed. Light Staff of course. my hMP set is basic but gets the job done. Just wondering what are some of the 'awesome' pieces I should focus on getting now? Thanks.

Templar Mace and Muse Tariqah for weapon and sub.
Always keep your Noble's even after you get af2 body...many whm think that it is ok to sell Nobles after they get it...I have no idea why...
HMP is one of the most important sets you can have, so I'd work on that a bit if you don't have some easy stuff to get like Relaxing Earring.
Along w/ farming stuff for Relaxing Earring I'd go ahead and farm for a Light Obi...
Other than that, nit picking stuff is definately a set for Devotion (HP+) and a set to cast Paralyze and Slow in if a rdm is unavailable.
medicine ring, and a ring proc set
This is for +12 Mind for Cure V only. You could also use them for Slow and Paralyze in the rare circumstance someone else isn't available to do that better, or for Stoneskin if it isn't capped. Get Apollo's Staff and Light Grip since it helps land Repose, it's a much better all purpose weapon. Holy and Banish suck less than they used to, so you'll want it for playing with them too.Originally Posted by Hosom
Cleric's Pantaloons combined with Blessed Briault for Barspells.
If you're doing easy stuff where you can get away with it, pick up a Martial Wand and make a melee build. Mystic Boon and Auspice Misery work well at keeping your MP full without needing to rest.
If you don't have Scholar as a subjob yet, get it.
You forget White Mage has Auto Regen?Originally Posted by residue
You would have to gear swap twice every single time you want the ring to work. Nobody does that.
You have got to be the most dedicated White Mage I have ever heard of.
Thanks for the help, I'll have to start farming and hopefully get into a decent LS to assist with the gearing up
I don't cheat, nor would I recommend someone to who is asking how to better themselves.
Spellcast isn't cheating, everything you can do with spellcast you could do with macros, it would just be a lot harder to set up.
Not this cheating shit again, it's really annoying.
Templar Mace is what I stick with so I can equip a shield, but Light Staff and a grip are good, too. Hedgehog bomb is always a nice plus. A Loq. Earring is an unbelievable piece and Rostrum Pumps are something you can start begging your linkshell to help you with. Other than that it's the skill and not the gear that will take you places.
I do hope you are kidding, please tell me you are...because when fast cast became more important then - enimity, i must have missed somthing, almost as retarded as whms who choose z slacks and custom f pants (for hume) over blessed trousers..
MND Effects all Cures btw, not just Cure V, it has the biggest impact on Cure V but the more mind in places where you don't have a choice of more enmity then better, for whoever said mace+shield was for Cure V only..
Medicine ring is stupid.. there is no point to lowering your survivability. And in many cases overcuring occurs after any big hit so it goes to waste anyway.
WHM sets
-Curel/ENM (notable noble's, blessed, raven)
-hMP (full yigit is good but not the best, but might be easier to get)
-Barspell (af2 legs/feet/blessed briault/enhancing torque is basic and solid)
-Repose (light staff, af1 legs is probably enough)
-Buffs (haste% for haste/erase/etc - turban, blessed, swift belt)
Enfeeble set is useful to have as well.
This, and the only time I use Apollo's staff for cures is when I'm not on WHM. Really the only cures I sacrifice MND in favor of -enmity are Cure 4 and Curaga 3 and 4, anything else and I won't typically pull hate.
Rostrum pumps to me have always been useless. I never bothered to get them. Also, don't be one of those WHM who fulltimes anything Zenith, please, too many WHMs run around in green pants and it makes me sadface and facepalm at the same time.
Korin obi is amazing, I'd recommend that and Anrin obi (Dark Arts + Aspir in Dynamis is amazing with Anrin and a decent Dark Magic skill build). It's not necessary, but a Dark Magic set can be useful, with SCH sub I can get some pretty decent Aspirs to help with the flow of MP.
Some CP maces/wands and Legion Scutum beat out Dark/Pluto's staff for HMP...
For Cures... you have options:
Templar + Muse = 10% Cure Potency, 12 MND
Templar + Legion = 10% Cure Potency, 7 MND, -2 Enmity, +20 MP
Healing/Dryad + Staff Strap = 10% Cure Potency, 70 MP, -2 Enmity, -20 HP
Light/Apollo Staff is acceptable too, but holds no real advantage over the others, other than it can save inventory space.
