So can anyone make heads or tails of that video? Seems more messy than Devil May Cry.

Not sure what there is to be confused about. Game looks awesome, definitely my most anticipated release after Mass Effect 2. Hideki Kamiya can do no wrong, definitely has the potential to top DMC in awesomeness. Plus it has dragons made of hair and that's just fucking badass.

Dragons, guillotines, demon portals. Apparantly you're able to do all kinds of crazy finishers and combos with the stuff she can make

Whats not awesome about being able to suplex huge dragons, sounds good to me, I think the game looks fantastic and if it as challenging as Kamiya is promising then it should be an awesome game.

This game looks like DMC4, but you know... better. I doubt DMC series will ever top itself after 3. One of the best/hardest games I've ever played (on DMD mode) and overall just kicked so much ass.

Do yourself a favour and play at the very least DMC3. 4 and 1 are both great too, but 1's combat has aged a bit. It's alot stiffer than todays action games.

...thinking back I played the one on the PS3 once because my roommate got it but I only played one boss and it was some flaming demon thing with a huge sword. Seemed like a boring hack/slash.

DMC is one of the best action games around. The only way it looks boring is if the person playing has no style at all, otherwise some of the combos and shit you can pull off is amazing (for Dante at least, Nero's movelist is pretty limited).

Looking forward to Bayonetta, seems cheesy in the right ways and I was sold the moment I saw the gun boots.

If you do try it and you play 4. Make sure to get the PC version. Legendary Dark Knight mode is the epitome of awesome.

Despite being one of the biggest amount of enemies in a fight that's one of the more boring areas since they're all just the weakest enemies. There's some fights where you're pitted against dozens of difficult enemies at once. All action games need to have a mode like this.

Played it for a while. Did a boss fight. It was awesome. It was very similar to DMC (made by the same people) but it actually was much more fluid and easy to do big combos and understand what was going on.

The boss fight I played was in a large cathedral room and the boss was another chick and we were both running all over the room jumping on the walls and running up and down. It was really interesting how you could run on any surface and then press down a button and it would automatically flip you to the floor again.

I am looking forward to this game big time.

In case anyone could not tell from the videos the suit she wears is actually her hair and when you finish off a boss the whole suit/hair thing flies up from her head, makes a portal and a hair demon/monster/dragon thing pops out of it and eats the boss. Definitely a cool animation sequence.
