    Nostolgic animated films (request)

As the title suggests, I am trying to compile a set of animated movies that I, along with just about all of BG, grew up with. They can range from the classic early Disney movies to early '90s (I don't want to go any further than say the first Toy Story).

This would have been much easier if I could find my box of VHS tapes, but unfortunately I can not find them so I must rely on my fellow BG movie goers. I could do this alone by scouring the internet, but I think this thread would benefit other readers as well.

There are quite a few obvious ones, and then there are some obscure ones that I've never heard of or seen. A couple that I already have acquired that were must haves for me were "Land Before Time", "Fern Gully", and "Secret of Nimh". Now I humbly call out to you BG and suggest your favorites or suggestions.

Here is a list of mentioned titles so far. I decided to add some post '95 titles due to them being great hits or by great artists/directors that deserve the credit.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
    Aladdin
    Alice in Wonderland
    All Dogs Go to Heaven
    An American Tail
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West
    Anastasia
    Bambi
    Beauty and the Beast
    The Brave Little Toaster
    Dinosaur
DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp
    Fantasia (1940)
    FernGully: The Last Rainforest
    The Iron Giant
    The Jungle Book
    Lady and the Tramp
    The Land Before Time
    The Last Unicorn
    The Lion King
    Little Nemo
    Mulan
    Oliver and Company
    One Hundred and One Dalmations
    The Pagemaster
    Peter Pan
    Pinocchio
    The Princess and the Goblin
    Rikki-Tikki-Tavi
    Robin Hood
    Rock-a-Doodle
    Rover Dangerfield
    The Secret of NIMH
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
    Swan Princess
    The Sword in the Stone
    Titan A.E.
    Transformers the Movie
    A Troll in Central Park
    Watership Down
    We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story

This is a list of partially animated titles:

    Bed Knobs and Broomsticks
    Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Not all of them are pre-90s, but majority are old school enough.

Ohhh, The Princess and the Goblin was a great movie. That song in it haunts my dreams, I wish I could find a decent rip of the music.

Although you said you dont want anything past Toy Story, The Iron Giant was good.

    Watership Down.

Edit: Oh, I used to watch Yellow Submarine all the time as a kid. And for Disney movies, Robin Hood.

Yea, I'd make an exception to the Iron Giant because I loved it so much. I like that top 100 list, but I don't like lists because they can be skewed or just not right at all.

Never heard of Yellow Submarine or any of the ones Lbelle suggested (minus Disney movies and Anastasia). Really hoping for multiple people that enjoyed a certain film so I can have some confidence in getting it.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Fuck ya The Last Unicorn made that list! That was my all time fav. Then things like the Care Bears movies/Rainbow Brite movie/etc.

Wasn't sure if there was a separate movie called Yellow Submarine or something. I'm not THAT closed off from the entertainment world.

I'm definitely going to have to say Akira, and the first Pokemon movie.

Totoro! Before it came translated in English... I watched that movie a million times.

Also I watched this movie with the kid from Home Alone, and the beginning of the movie is in reality, then he goes to some library and the crazy doctor from Back to the Future is the librarian and he gives him a library card. Then the whole fucking movie is a cartoon, and there are these three books that go on an adventure with the kid.

Cant fucking remember that name of the movie and it's driving me nuts.
