I'm also one of the ones (sorry ) that became interested through Rock Band...I play Welcome Home every time I play the game, pretty much. From there, though, I picked up Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness and really like it so I'm wondering if I should just start at the beginning and check everything out in order or just bounce around. Thoughts?

Edit: I downloaded Three Evils because Uryuu said it was his favorite song and it definitely isn't the style I expected. I guess I like the dramatic/heavier stuff.

I find their entire style pretty dramatic haha, there's a few songs that are weird/quiet but for the most part it's pretty driven. Not necessarily always 'heavy' like Welcome Home I suppose.

I'm a huge Coheed fan, have been for a few years now. I saw them live a few months ago in Atlantic City, and it was one of the most intense concerts I ever saw. They opened with Welcome Home and the bumrush towards the stage was ridiculous. I never bought the comics, but my buddy has them and I have read them.

I've always wanted them to get a string section and open a concert with Keeping The Blade, would be so hot. That right into Welcome Home? Fuck me.

I saw them about 5+ years ago in Austin TX @ Emo's. Was a great show. They played with Moneen who is one of the best live bands I've seen. But when I heard them for the first time (live show, had never listened to their albums) I really enjoyed it.
