under ur square enix account delete the token and its done
Under the "Security Expansion" menu on the SE account system: Security Token usage settings -> Security Token Removal and follow the instructions on that page to remove the token. Once you remove it though you'll have to buy a new token if you ever decide to use one-time pass again.
ok thanks guys^^
How do you keep losing it? When I can finally get mine, it's likely being taped to my monitor, since I only play at home. Hard to lose it if it never leaves your computer...
Yeah, I just leave mine under my keyboard.
I used to keep it at home but I was paranoid about losing it. I keep it on my keychain now.
Really? I've never lost anything off a keychain before.
losing your keys (misplaced, dropped down drain, stolen, consumed by a metallivore, etc.) is not that uncommon an event so a reasonable fear. i like the idea of integrating it into one's case though.
I'd be afraid to put it on my keychain, too easy to lose your keys or drop them (might damage the token) or have them stolen.
I keep mine on the leg of my monitor, although integrating into my case would be great, I sometimes play from a friends house, so I just have to remember to grab it before I head out.
I understand that some people are afraid of losing their keys. Changing your home locks is annoying enough, calling SE to unlink the token on top of that would really rub it in.
Don't worry about damaging the token by dropping it though. Even if you hold it over your head, drop it on the street, and all your keys land on the token, it's going to be fine. I'm pretty sure it's safe to step on, but I'm not going to test that feature.
With XIV on the way and SE needing to keep up with Blizzard, I am confident that we will soon see the security token (optionally) replaced by a cell phone app. The great thing about the "SE account" concept is that when SE does implement the cell phone app, it will work for XI as well as XIV.
With the name Bungie it reminded me of the idea that the OP could put a keyfob on the token with a plastic spring cord. Like the ones they give you in casinos attached to the slot machine cards you use to keep track of your game points. Attach the cord to your desk with a pin.
If you must unlink, read all of the info especially the fine print so you understand and don't end up having to wait on hold.
That's bungee. I'm Bungie, as in the company that made the Myth series, and a bunch of FPS games for the Macintosh. Nice to get a reaction other than "Hai guy, do you like Halo?" though. Never really got into Halo, and haven't played it more than once. This name dates from me getting on the internet in the mid-90s when Bungie was a Mac-only game company.
