Ran a 10k this morning. 40:19, which I'm happy with given the course was brutally hilly. Was supposed to be in a wedding, but it was canceled. Thank god, saved me about $160 in tuxedo fees. Now I'm going to eat, and pray that it storms like hell tonight so they cancel fireworks. Would much rather watch fireworks tomorrow.

More of an issue with getting 2 kids out in the rain...so I guess a forecast issue. It's going to rain tonight, that much I know. If it just rains and doesn't storm, they'll do fireworks. I'm not dragging a newborn out for an hour or two in the rain. So I just hope it storms and they cancel til tomorrow.

Another year of seeing fire trucks driving slowly through my neighborhood with kids and their parents on bikes following behind as the fire trucks use their siren. This year though, I saw an ambulence following slowly behind too XD Always cute to watch.

I got to see like 3 fireworks shows at once from how high up I was. It was so cool seeing one grande finale go off and then watching the others go off a couple minutes later. I had a really fun 4th.

Most people can't launch off fireworks the size that you can see at a show. Sitting on your back and watching huge explosions in the sky when that's all you can see with the force of the explosions hitting you in the chest can be quite the experience, especially with the proper significant other in tow.

That said, I usually like to alternate between going to a show and lighting my own. They both have their draws. (Though I didn't do anything this year. D'oh)
