Moon is fantastic, Source Code is great but not mindblowing like Moon. Not sure what I should think of this, as Duncan Jones is clearly a guy for character driven movies and WoW is expected to be an epic fantasy adventure.

So who gets to lot Frostmourne?
The hunter.
HAI GUIZ THAT IS HUNTER GEAR TROLOLOLOLOL
Fuckin hated Huntards who did that shit
Still, the amount of memes and jokes spawned from the game over the years, is it better to see a film that is a "serious epic" or an epic fantasy comedy that is somewhat serious?
Imagine if they put 5+1 main characters in comprising of:
Paladin - The leader
Warrior - The big guy
Mage - The smart guy
Priest - The chick (token girl) (can interchange with the mage)
Hunter - The idiot/comedic relief guy (as described above)
Death Knight/Druid/Monk/Warlock/Shaman/Rogue - Sixth Ranger

So many directions they could run with this. I don't care for the story for now, but rather in how they implement it. The jokes don't need to be direct, but subtle enough for players to pick up right away and none players to also see the funny side to it.
I hope they do it like lotr. I have a little hope that this movie gonna be that first good game>movie adaptation. Still crossing my fingers though.
I'm actually looking forward to whether or not they will do a 5-man party concept. After seeing the FFXIV A Realm Reborn trailer with the paladin and warrior smashing things while the bard, white mage and black mage back them up from behind, I think a live action version of something similar would be awesome.
They could do a whole movie based on a dungeon run starting with the party leader recruiting the other guys and ending with an epic boss fight. I'd watch the shit outta that.
Ya, WoW is also the perfect environment to do so. Nothing is that over the top/fantastic besides some of the recent additions to the game.
And rethinking about it, a Death Knight would be a perfect "sixth ranger" device (trope) -- the party of 5 gets to the middle of the film only to find a DK mindcontrolled or something, so they smack him up a little and then he "wakes up" and joins the gang to fight the big bad. Typical, but can still be cool if they can bring a DK's variety of abilities in screen including raising an army of ghouls, a massive energy barrier and death gripping.
I know potential actors were discussed and nothing has been revealed yet in terms of script or possible actors but ...
Gerard Butler for Warrior?
And zach galifianakis for the Hunter !
Am I the only one that kinda wants to see the human campaign of RoC play out on a big screen? Guess that's not really WoW, though.
Spoiler: show
I'm kinda surprised they don't want to just make a CG movie. I really liked the D3 cutscene fight between Diablo and Imperius, and Blizzard's long proven that they can do good stuff with CG already.
And the massive success paves the way to a FF CG movie. Yes!
Not that much way was needed to be paved since Pixar and stuff.
Was the CG FF movie so bad that you've blocked it from memory?

Not sure if self-whoosh.
Personally, I enjoyed the movie, but it wasn't exactly a success financially.
I feel that Square is still holding back from doing a big budget CG movie because of Spirits Within. Or I may be wrong.
FF movie flopped because it was basically random sci-fi flick #488743 with the FF name slapped on. If they actually went full bore into some medieval fantasy setting with a healthy homage to stuff, then fans would eat it up.
Personally, I'm not sure I want to see a WoW movie.
Yeah I think the only reason people dislike it so much is because there was no big swords. As a stand alone movie, it's just fine.
Bwahahaha he would be perfect, I seen him recently on the film Due Date with Robery Downer Jr, so I can imagine him doing very well as portraying a stupid hunter.
Sean Bean for the "smart guy" ? (mage/priest) =p
With 2 spots remaining, including the "lead" (the Paladin), will need a female ... hmm
