Umm, I sold my Cuchulain's because it seems to me the Op is going to be open every other week for the next 6 months at least. I'd be shocked if Cuch Mantle doesn't drop down to 1mil or lower in that time period.

Unless you're from a closed server, there are people willing to buy mantles; transfer servers; sell them; and port the gil back. At one point we had over 40 mantles on the AH and the price remained well over 3mil. Also, while Forager's Mantle and Union threaten the norm, there are two points to make. One is that Forager's Mantle with ACC+6 is difficult to obtain. Not everyone is willing to pass up Cuchulain Mantle in favor of risking Forager's Mantles. Moreover, the price increase of Forager's Mantle (Went from 300-500k here) will deter people from that route. I myself went 1/16 just getting DMG+5 on Fay Lance with STR+2 Pet DMG1% (Most get STR+3 DEX+2 first try), so I know personally, I won't attempt to augment too many items. Experiences such as this will lead people back to buying Cuchulain Mantles. Two, the effects of Union are already starting to dissipate. Diabolos came close to, but did not manage to obtain La Vaule [S] this week (Our server is usually good at obtaining it when wanted). Part of the reason is because of the new Campaign zones. For instance, although we did not obtain La Vaule [S] this week, we did obtain Beau [S]. Thus, the effort towards Beau [S] could represent diverted attention from La Vaule [S]. Overall, I doubt we'll see price changes on mantles soon.

Small tip for people

The other day I wasn't happy with the augments on my Cerb mantle+1 lol, so I tossed it out of my inventory and had a GM reimburse it through their 'accidental drop/throw' service. It came back completely augment free!

Use with caution though, they say there isn't a 100% chance you'll have your item re-created and you can only use this service once.

leather crafter can now synth cerb mantle, if NQ, augment it, if shitty, desynth and repeat for a HQ or augment again if no break
