I know what I'm about to say is probably expected to be heard on a site where FFXI is the majority of discussion, but I'm not like those people, since I actually do play WoW a lot. For a few years actually, and I don't know what it is but I have become so burnt out on this game I can't even feel the urge to see what this instance is all about.
How do you like it? Challenges, etc. I might try it out eventually but I don't know if this alone makes it worth it to continue playing. Just seems like more of the same. Any thoughts?
3 bosses this part
minotaur: pretty easy, ranged dps boss, melee dps adds, dont stand in fire.
2x jormungar: annoying, 1 jorm spit acid, 1 jorm spit fire. their debuff have something to do with cancelling each other out, not sure.
icehorn: easy fight, during the fight he will roar and charge at people, gotta avoid him so he hit the wall then become stunned. zerg it when he is stunned. he regains consciousness after a while and rinse/repeat.
cool bro thanx 4 the tips
Full Mana
Viper is still on!
One shotted it with 10 people dead due to stupid positioning. Got a Caster dagger miles better than the Starshard Edge i spent half my DKP on last week. Then said "good progression!" and went back to Ulduar for the week, until another boss unlocks next week.
New gear is nice, but fuck this instance.
ugh palin why are you horde i wanna join yo guild
be happy you guys can even do it
mal'ganis has been down for fucking ever.
I still have that priest I think, LOL
From what weve fought so far:
First fight is Gorlok the Impaler, magnataur.
He needs to be tanked away from the group, has a nasty cleave. He'll stack a dot on the tank that'll eventually make healing useless, so you'll need two tanks switching at 3 stacks of the dot. Throughout the fight, fires will show up, so keep moving away from them. Eventually kobolds will show and attach themselves to a random raid member. ALL dps needs to switch to these and kill them quickly. The kobold do a frequent stun, so if one attaches to a healer you're toast. They have no threat, so no tank is needed. After the kobold is dead go back to the boss and repeat.
Immediately after the boss dies the next fight starts, with no rest inbetween. It's against 2x jormungar, acidmaw and dreadmaw. Acidmaw does a poison spit that does an area of effect super nasty poison, while dreadmaw does the same but with a fire spit. The fire spit can one-shot half your raid if everyone isn't topped off, so be careful. Melee need to attack one, and once they get a debuff, switch to the other, much like the 4 horsemen fight. The debuffs they each have cancel each other out, hence the need to switch.
This is as far as we got. It's certainly not easy. The worst part is you have zero time to rest between fights.
Off topic but I thought I was the only one having that weird ass line on the bottom of my screen. There's another gray box thing that won't go away on the bottom right.
1st "boss" down like nothing. This instance sucks ass. Yay for new content..OH wait back to Ulduar again! At least now when we finally get the last boss in the Coliseum we'll be FUCKING SICK of the 1st 3 bosses.
As a caster, Kobolds can kindly find a roadside ditch in which to rot and die.
They interrupt anything with a cast bar, inducing a school lockout. I have exactly 2 instants worth casting, one 8s cooldown, one effectively a 12s cooldown. The rest of the time? I suppose I could wand?
this fight was retardedly easy...disappointing. oh well most of my guild is still in blues so we'll go back to clearing naxx/uld to get geared up so hopefully they bring good content out for us to rape.
good squad best squad
