Somewhat old but I just heard about it yesterday.
Youtube already pays the copyright but apparently ASCAP wants more money and are searching out people who posts embed videos/links on their sites to charge them for copyright. Just ludicrous to me and a stretch in legal terms but some people might not know and end up paying the bill.. anyways, this may scare some people, it may not but ultimately they are diminishing the ability to spread popular music.
