There is really no point in spoilering stuff without some context to go on.
pc demo up on www.techspot.com
lol
The demo doesn't seem all that demanding spec wise. Game sure is fucking pretty though.
I hope the game bombs and is straight up deemed a failure.

Report: Crysis 2 To Ship Without DX11 Support, Coming In Post-Launch Patch
We’ve received word from Swedish hardware site Sweclockers that Crysis 2 will ship without DX11 support, much like its recently released demo counterpart. The tidbit was unearthed at a recent Nvidia presentation. Apparently, Crytek plans to patch in the renderer as part of a post-launch update.
While specific DX11 features due for inclusion went unmentioned, at the bare minimum, it’s expected that we’ll see tessellation and advanced depth of field effects a la Metro 2033.
Until then, PC gamers rocking the latest and greatest hardware will have to make do with DX9. There’s no word on a release timeline for the patch, but here’s hoping that Crytek themselves break the silence soon.
PS3 Demo is coming within a week, maybe sooner. From what I've heard they have a playable version at GDC & the EA press event said it would be dropping soon.
There's not even a DX10 mode?
Nope, and the original Crysis shipped with DX10, lol. Crytek really dropped the ball on the PC version. A lot of people are skipping and waiting for BF3 now instead.
Well, I wanted to check out the demo because everyone talks about how pretty Crysis is but it won't let me log in and I really have 0 desire to be forced into some multiplayer bullshit anyways so meh.
Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead look prettier imo. You just need a powerful enough PC to actually run it on the highest settings.

Some screens I took from the PC MP demo. Overall not too bad for a limited DX9, I know a lot experienced issues logging in and stuff, I haven't yet though. It doesn't play too bad and will run better than the original Crysis (no idea if DX10/11 will do too) but it has a pretty narrow field of view. Pretty much the video above is spot on however I didn't have any random hangups and stuttering like he did.
So, i got my version of the game today, pretty fun online and a good change of pace from Call of Duty.
From my experience maps are pretty good and the weapons are ok. Most people i've seen are running the Scar with a reflex sight and are following a cookie cutter class setup already, hopefully there will be more variety after the official game release. One thing that's annoying me already is you need to pick up the dog tags to add to your killstreak (yes there is a perk to collect them automatically, but why can't it just do it for you? ._.)
Because camping a corner to get killstreaks is more irritating than picking up a dog tag?
Played some campaign during work today, was pretty awesome, jumping on the brobox version here soon.
