If you take a minute to look into Warcraft lore...A LOT OF THE LORE HAPPENS ON AZEROTH. There are 3 major continents on Azeroth, Northrend where we currently have our activity and EK/Kalimdor. Shit is going down in Northrend now, so it doesn't need to be busy for another expansion. Azeroth has been a hotbed of shit happening since it was created, that's the lore of the world. Shit happening in Azeroth like what is coming next expansion is par for the course.

Speaking of lore, I don't see how Worgen or Goblin DK's even make sense since Arthas will likely be out of the picture, and there weren't any of those 2 races at Ebon Hold. Also, Gilneas was sealed off from everything, and the Goblins aren't even the same Goblins we see now, so they wouldn't have had contact with Arthas.

I saw somebody else mention it, but the trailer starts by saying the war against the Lich King is ongoing. So it is not as if he'll be done away with I suppose, it sounds as if both the Horde and Alliance are pretty much forced to turn their attention to Kalimdor/EK as the Cataclysm happens.

Every time the WoW designers have had to choose between an orthodox adherence to lore and playability/accessibility, they've chosen the latter. This has often worked out in the player's favor in a more fun environment.
