Seems like that might be the case. Looks like it was a Trojan after all. The question is, how did it get on the computers? Because from what that article says it seems like they're saying it's by dumb luck...

Holy Hell I'm necro'ing this.

I was able to kick myself off my mule account by using the wrong code today. To be clear:

I was logged in on main on my laptop.

I was going to log in mule on desktop.

Desktop normally logs in main and playonline comes up with that account initially.

I input correct SE password, but incorrect SE token ###.

Main account gets "Someone has logged in from another terminal message" and black screen/forced log out even though I never actually got on to the account.

Could this be what some people are experiencing? Scary knowing that someone has your SE password though.

Also, I could have sworn I tried this before intentionally and it didn't let me kick myself. Thoughts?

During the log in process, the POL ID and PW are submitted before it even checks your SE ID and SE PW. If you watch the log in messages, it will say "verifying pol id and pw" then move on to "verifying se id and pw". Once it goes past the "verifying pol id and pw" stage, that means it has submitted the POL ID and PW entered so you are technically logged into that account; however, you can't actually do anything since it goes into the new id/pw check right after.

Can test it by logging yourself in, then open another instance of POL and enter anything you want as the SE PW and you will still get kicked off.

My friend come back on FFXI after 4 years. But he forgot Password. His adress , Phone number don't match
