At that time FFB was king, and those mages are some of the top ones in the world. 6000 to 7500 is a pretty huge leap.

FFB was king when the gear wasn't available to switch to another spec, I never said I did 7500 back in 2008. The fact you posted parses of FFB mages doing 6k means that 7500 for a gear capped Fireball mage is not a huge stretch.

Edit: Decided to run my gear through Rawr to see what it said. It has my DPS listed as 7108, now if you have talked to any fireball mage before you would know that it is VERY streaky. To the point where if you are fighting patchwerk under 35% and get more hot streaks then normal, 7500 does happen. Not to mention I beleive they nerfed the Mage 2 set some time after Ulduar came out right? So it would be a small amount less DPS from that alone. This is including 0 Epic gems, unoptimized enchants, unoptimized gemming, and no Ulduar gear.

If you pray to the RNG gods, you can get abnormal DPS on fights. I mean, I've seen people parse 80% crit rate as fireball in BIS naxx gear just because they're lucky. I've even had fights where I have a 60% crit chance raid buffed and I get 20% over the course of the fight =(.

realm transfer should have been a no brainer to be included with the purchase of faction change. I was considering transferring my horde to alliance, but there's no way I'm spending 55 dollars to do it.

I can understand the 30$ if transfer is included, but otherwise 15$ would have worked, if not 20... 30 is the reason I haven't done it already, which may be blizzards reasoning for the price. Most people wont transfer for that price, only a few desperate or ones that REALLY want to are going to drop the 55$.

We already spend 15 dollars a month on it, which is a REASONABLE amount. Asking customers to pay almost 4x that to get more enjoyment out of the game is kind of shitty, especially since so many people expressed interest in the implementation. It's like, here, we baked this cookie for you but you're not allowed to eat it.

I didn't think it was unreasonable. A tad bit on the expensive side since I'd have expected it to be about $25, same as the server transfer fee, but still not bad. Worth it, to me. If I really thought it was an unreasonable price, I'd just have leveled a Horde from scratch.

Stick with transferring to Blackrock or Malganis for horde, or Tich for ally, imo.
