Which RPGs change your characters outfits when you give them new armor?

I know it's weird, but one thing I like about RPGs is how when you put on a new robe, it actually LOOKS like the character has the new robe on. What RPGs can you think of that do this, other than MMORPGS? Most of them just change the model of the weapons, but not the armor too. The only one I can think of is Fable, but there must be more...Thanks!

Actually aside of jRPGS lots of "traditional" cRPGs have that. Oblivion/Morrowind, Fallout, Baldurs Gate and related(but they're little sprites so maybe don't count), Gothic I believe, KoToR series, Mass Effect(to a certain extend at least if I remember correctly - a couple kind of armor models), Jade Empire(another "if I remember good") and so on so on.

jade empire didn't have armor iirc, just the amulet/jewels

but everyone who hasn't played it really really needs to!

I've always liked that feature as well, it really has to do with how lazy the developers are.

PS2 limitations lulz (of course that's to console titles onry, the PC is a different story)

Wasn't there that one really shit RPG on the PS2 that could do that? I can't remember what it's called, but I think that was the main hook.

It was like the only game you could get for the PS2 when it first came out.

FFX technically did that. Of course, the only armor was a bracer/shield thing on the character's arms, so its probably not what you're looking for.

JRPGs I've played recently that have the ability to change outfits:

Wild Arms 5 (based on armor)
    Radiata Stories (based on armor)
Tales of the Abyss (based on title)
Rogue Galaxy (based on armor, although rare to come by)

Tales of Vesparia does, and Lbelle odd enough I'm 100% like that, it's a major consideration for me when picking up an RPG these days lol

In vesperia your body armor doesn't necessarily change with your equipment though. Your weapon does but only earned titles which occur later on in the game can change what you look like. Cat girl rita ftw.

I always forget the name of that. I just remember Frying Pan helmet. I can't even remember the game at all, just that there was a frying pan helmet.

I forgot about rogue galaxy. Armor isn't *that* important in that game, but there are something like 800+ weapons and each one has a different graphic as well.

Yeah, the one thing I liked about the armor in that game was that it had such a minimal impact on defense, you could just pick whichever one you thought looked the best.

well I'm playing Vesperia now and was kinda disappointed that the armor didn't change the models. I have a couple titles but none of them change my looks yet. I'm only about 7 hours or so in so maybe later they will
